I don't think people appreciate real music in these forums. This is what I get by glancing at the first page. These days anyone can be an artist, just as long as they have a recognizable name (e.g. Hilton, Hogan, Richie). Artists can only sing (sometimes with studio magic/lip synch), while years ago artists were able to sing and play an instrument together (in this case a guitar). That's enough of a rant for now.

How is God overrated?

If anyone is overrated, it's Hendrix. Yes, he's my second favorite guitarist, unbelievable musician, but I feel like there's this god-like myth surrounding him since he died so young. Just another artist whose reputation soared more than ever due to a death that happened too soon. I just don't like how he's untouchable. Like many people get the idea that Hendrix is uncomparable to anyone else. Nevertheless Clapton was considered the better of the two during the time both were live.

interesting topic...i like Eric Clapton..but my ultimate, ultimate, #1 favorite has got to be Tom Morello or Audioslave!!! this man is crazy!! he's so awesome and he makes the weirdest/coolest sounds with his guitar!!! after i heard his guitar solos in "Like A Stone", "I Am The Highway" and "Be Yourself" i wanted to become a guitarist..so i took guitar class and i'm nowhere as good! but anyways..if you haven't heard of Audioslave..definitely check out their music and listen to Tom..he's awesome!! those 2 songs i recommend cause they have great guitar solos!! and they're great songs themselves!
