As more than half of the 2006 has passed us by, the selection of hit songs..
weren't as great as other years. And in the upcoming months there are many
veteran artists returning to the stage (Rain, Seven, Shin Seunghoon, Kim Gunmo,
Lee Junghyun, etc...) These are all very popular and talented singers returning.
So just seeing who you guys think have a shot at the Daesang this year, thus far.

Not included:

Hyori - Get Ya (plagiarism)
Super Junior - They will probably win the best new artist. They are not eligible for the daesang.

Other high profiile singers (BoA, DBSK, M, etc.. ) have had pretty much no acticity
in Korea, but have been working overseas, so they are out as well.

Please try and be real, and not shout out DBSK, considering they have no album
release this year. And NO, Super Junior cannot win the Daesang, they are new artists.

I'm sure there are other hits of 2006, that i did not include, so if you are thinking of
someone else, jot it down~!

this song is so underrated in soompi yet so popular in korea.

this song is so brilliant and charming that it HAS so win any awards for the beauty of the lyrics and the beauty of the harmonies.

By voting, we aren't actually CHOOSING the winner....so I have to say that even though I want se7en to win, I think that lee SeungGi has a chance of actually winning this year. Kim JongKook might win as well~~~

Yes. Please don't just shout out DBSG or SUPER JUNIOR. They are still new artists and have a long time to go til the day then win daesang.

It took our very own SHINHWA 7 years. Man, that's such a long time. I worked so hard in 2004 to vote for SHINHWA and buy lots of their 7th album.

There is no doubt that SHINHWA , LEE SOO YOUNG, and SG WANNABE is going to be the huge competitors!

Suju is definitely getting the male newbie awards, unless Big Bang does something extraordinary. :x As for Daesang, SG Wannabe has had a very good year.


About TVXQ, they are about to release their third album, and it's about the same time they released Rising Sun last year.. so they're not totally out of the running. ^^ I still think SG Wannabe has the biggest chance though. With Buzz coming at a close second, and Lee Sooyoung or Fly to the Sky trailing behind~ There have been a lot of great artists this year!

there's a lot of commotion about Shinhwa making a huge comeback, but...they're in Japan right now, haha. I think the biggest competitors have got to be between SG Wannabe, Lee Soo Young and Fly to the Sky. The latter three are very strong this year. I'm actually hoping SG Wannabe to win, but I don't mind if Lee Soo Young wins either. I think Fly to the Sky is great, but I don't think they're "daesang" material yet because, come on, they've released two freaking singles "Like A Man" and "Pi," which are basically the same song...wtf? An underrated duo is Vibe. I would love to see Vibe win. I don't mind if SG, Vibe or Lee Soo Young win 'cause they are talented artists. Maybe the daesang will go to some with great vocals rather than good dancing skills. Anybody can disagree with me, but please don't quote me and yell "Fly to the Sky is great they 'deserve' EVERYTHING 'cause they're worked so hard."

Hm, yeah, Fly to the Sky also had a great yaer as well. However, the only problem is their album sales. It's not that high.

I'm not sure if Super Junior is going to win the Best New Artist. I mean the fans will go crazy voting for them but there is also See Ya. But after the huge incident, not sure...LOL

yeah i think suju will get the new artist for males...
daesang? from the looks of it, it looks like a sg wannabe runaway..even with leesooyoung or ftts(not sure..) as comeptitors..
also, wasn't there a comeback artist award, or an award similar to that?
baek jiyoung should get it.
Too lazy to make another sig. Ill get to it..maybe.
