This isn't exactly a college topic, however, the only other place it would fit is in the 20+ area and I'm too young. I'm trying to avoid putting it in the general discussion where it won't get much thought or just replies like (me too!! hehehe smile.gif)

So after you guys get out of college, graduates school, professional etc. do you think there is ever anytime to go on a mission like w/ unicef or humanitarian works. I don't exactly want to be in the peace corp(?) or become a philanthropist(?) because I do want to support a family and my parents someday but its still something i've always wanted to do. But after you're in debt from the 6+ years of college/graduates isn't there no money or time? Like, to keep a job and become promoted I don't think people can be taking time off like that. Not to mention raising children and having a happy family since I'm a girl. How exactly does everything work out?

I don't want to just donate money because I'm not sure how it'll be used or if it'll even help anyone. I understand I could volunteer and build houses and teach small children at poor places in America but hm, i just thought I could do a lot more in life than that but there seems to be a huge time crunch from now until I have a steady job where I probably won't want to leave once I become involved unsure.gif

Anyone have any ideas or guidance?

I'm sure you'll have time in some jobs. My friend's pediatrician goes to a 3rd world country every summer to help out.
