i love jang riln and she has a powerful voice but yet I don't think her lives are that good yet to compete with christina aguilera. but with more training, i hope someday she will exceed her

Sorry guys no offense, but somehow i feel like JRI rises her fame based on other people, not actually herself, for e.g, she wins mutizen award (correct me if i'm wrong) for the Timeless song, however it's a covered song and b/c of feating with Xiah, the song is perfect. Next when she sings "Y", it's not the original song again, how come a newbie like her hasnt got any songs which actually written for her. Frankly, I dont wanna see her next single will be another copy from someone
i totally agree with you...but she is not the only one that does this in the kpop industry..sooo many ppl do remakes and i think it is disappointing that they have all this resources, money, talent and yet they still have to copy american pop songs..hardly anyone writes their own music(i know there are exceptions)....i dont agree that jangrin did a better job on her remakes but it was still very pretty...i just wish kpop can find more originality...

shout out to the wONdeRfUL w1f3_0f_x14h_junsu who made this siggie!!

Thanks for the link + the clip ^^
(Right now, i think im so in love with her voice..)
Edit :: Even tho her songs are not new, it's a remake - but you know, she did a very good job and i bet Brandon Farley is very proud of her because he lets she sing his wife's song!! and i bet, Jang Ri-in is very honoured too!

a fan is a fan, it doesn`t matter how old YOU are in comparison to the artist... right?
i realized that i get slightly defensive when people attempt to badmouth RiIn`s ability to perform live~ the unnie fan in me snaps and i can`t seem to shut my mouth xP i wonder if i`d be the same way if RiIn was older than i am or something...? i probably would, seeing how a fan is a fan. but juuust a thought :]

Well Jang Ri In has just recently debuted as a singer...it's sort of common sense to debut her with a more popular singer to gain more attention and popularity as a new singer...it's a strategy that LSM is using and has worked very well. If she has been around for 2 years and still using other ppl to get popularity, then i think your comment would be more valid lol
And yeah I agree that singing remakes sucks, but i doubt she had any say in it since SM probably made her~~ and besides they're both great songs so personally i don't really care
edit/// HEY i got a pg!!! haha first time EVERRRRRR wooo ^__^
ummmm err Jang Ri in rocks! haha

I think so too. Both songs display her vocal ability very well and they were great choices to display what JRI has to offer and how much she's trained throughout the years.

well, i agreed too.. but she has already been trained for 3 years.. would it do a harm if it takes 4-5 years more to compete those international singers!? LOL!
By the way, about her age.. yeah, she's 17.. and in korea, supposed to be 18 right!?

Just saw "Timeless" for the first time last night and I couldn't help but cry. Although I didn't understand a majority of what the lyrics were about, the story had tears streaming down my cheeks and welling up in my eyes. Well, that and the fact that three cutie-patuties were in it, hehe (hankyung, shiwon, and xiah - totally diggin' his new do).

i am glad that her popularity is rising cuz i think she has great potential.. but i still dont get how is she 16. She's born on february 1989 shouldnt that make her 17 and in korean age shouldnt she be 18? since hankyung has to use korean too
Sometimes SM changes their artist's ages lol. They announced choisiwon like 2 years younger than he really is.

maybe its an outdated profile?? lol
maybe the profile was printed uhh before she turned 17?
she SHOULD be 18 in korean age lol.
i listened to jamelle's "powerless" and its ok?
i think the lyrics are kinda... bad and amateur.. but i mean she isnt really a professional and she writes her own lyrics so gotta give her credit for writing them herself... but i thought they were kinda bad
her voice is really soft and her chorus was pretty powerful.
but i think JRI's voice is better suited for the song?
jri's voice is more clear and isnt soft. it sounds like she has more...breath?
jamelles voice sounds like shes outta breath
i like how JRI's voice gets really powerful, so i prefer her version more.
well i dont think its such a big deal that JRI did covers...
shes still a newbie, its more like testing her waters before they give her anything of her own.
but what do we know, maybe a lot of R&B from SM ent ARE covers?

And about her rising fame based on others, oh wells, that's how things work in Korea right? You need connections and recommendations from "someone" who knows "someone" in the industry or company...
And yeah, I look forward to hearing her sing original songs too. (But I don't think she has much say in this... SM the prick controls his artistes like puppets... and he is oh-so-cautious with song selection. *rolls eyes*)
Hmm.
