Though I'm not a fan of SeeYa, I'm really questioning like others if she really deserves the award she just won. I mean let's just think about it, if Xiah Junsu wasn't there with her, would she become this famous and would she won this award? I don't think so. It's true that she has a really good voice. But for instant popularity is doubtful for me

I don't understand why people seem to have a problem with this instant popularity because of Junsu thing it's called marketing~~ EVERY artist has it ~~ SM is just VERY GOOD at it which is why a lot of their artists are popular. Yes... without Xiah Junsu she would not be as known as she is now... i dont see what's wrong with that..? it's a technique for marketing... i think it's VERY rare that an artist becomes known just from their voice..im sure there are plenty of unpopular artists with phenomenal voices..but you need good marketing to become a famous singer...what's wrong with jang ri in bcoming known because of xiah?

anyway what does popularity have to do with whether she deserved an award? doesn't it just count for like a small percentage? the best newcomer award isn't just a popularity contest... if it was then i would understand why everyone was so concerned about HOW she became popular..but it isn't...soo...

Just to clear things up SM is good at marketing and so they did the smart thing and debuted her with Xiah which was smart it got her known. But in the end for me i like DBSK and they have nice songs but im not the biggest fan to tell you the truth, they are great guys and i enjoy the guys but im not claiming to be there number one fan. I actually noticed Jang Ri In before Xiah, i thought that song was amazing. I didnt even know who were the singers who sung it, hahaha.

The song Timeless is better in a duet and most likely written for two people to sing and who better then have Xiah featuring in on the song and teach her. Ive only seen her few of her perf and tho not perfect i did like them. I think people should stop cause the awards are over and move pass it. Lets not devulge in if she deserved it or not because opinions change from each individual. And it will just be a big circle, from the awards shows there were results that i did not much like from MKMF as well as Daesang but after a couple of hours i realize how i dont much care for awards shows and moved on. so lets let peace be and leave Jang Ri In alone cause she did have a huge hit song and its her song not Xiah's song but hers and put in the hardwork and effort that any artist would for their music. But popularity does play a huge role in music awards now, imo. But im happy she got new artist. Ok im done no more adding to this post.

some people think that the ONLY reason she won is because of junsu. if it were any other singer (not very well known) she wouldn't have won. and maybe the reason she became so popular so fast is because of junsu. i mean, if you watch the performances, most of the fans chant junsu's name instead of jang ri in.

and since she doesn't sing live so well, they might not care who she is just as long as junsu's there.

Of course she wouldnt have been that well known if it wasnt 4 Junsu but she'l still get noticed by alot of people anyway since they were labellin her the 'Chinese BoA'/'Next BoA'. (Even tho they are different)!!

All artists start from somewhere and JRI is just lucky enough 2 debut with Junsu. Now she just has 2 prove that she can be just as suscessful without Junsu's help

yah dbsk and suju have a song together "show me your love" for 2005 winter. but SM does do this a lot but the artists of SM love to do this. by helping new talent to get recognized really shows the other artists that they have made a big name for themselves. i remember watching something about how junsu could remember how boa helped dbsk during their debut days and how he was so happy that it was his turn to help out jang ri in. that now he was someone's senior in SM and it made him really happy to help out a new talent.

just wait when jang ri in becomes really popular she too will help advertise and promote a new talent in SM just like everyone else has before her just like dbsk, boa, and kangta. btw kangta has helped so many singers make it big under SM.

i don't care...i'm just soo happy for her that she won the award!! gosh...so much animosity..let's cheer up the mood. it's sm family...that's what a family do...help eachother!! gosh...let's not be so harsh on her too...her live although not perfect...they are really good regardless...you can't deny she's talented!
omg...timeless era is ending...so sad!! now i can't see my babe junsu perform with riin anymore...what a gorgeous duet. yep i remember too...when the first started out...they were like 50 feet away from each other..and slowly they came closer and closer. gosh wasn't that yesterday???

Keke,actually this time i really didn't want to fly to hainan,but at the end i heard our Baby(she call jangriin baby ) will come back ,so ,at the very last minute i decided i will fly to hainan to meet our baby,so i was in hainan!
Riin is really very young and cute ! and when my friends said "fighting!"to her,she really almost began to cry!so upset Princess didn't see this moment( the writer was late that day,so she didn't see this scena)
Riin sang really veeeeeeeeeery good at the concert,although she maybe was llittle nervous,after all this is her first time to performance in her homeland!But the whole performance of her is really great! the fans screamed her name rhythmically!Although there were not so many chocolates ,but the Tvxqfans and sjfans were really nice to her ,all of them showed their passion to her!
i didn't live the same hotel with our baby,so i couldn't see her all the time,that made me not happy!But in any case i finally saw her this time!Keke~ Please forgive Princess didn't report to all of you when the day i came back from hainan,because i was soooo tired the few days!

呵呵，本来这次的海南真的不想去，可是后来听说有我们宝贝，就在最后一刻的时候决定还是为了看看宝贝，所以去了！
力尹本人真的好小好可爱哦！而且我朋友她们跟她说加油的时候，力尹真的感动的要哭了！（可是好讨厌，公主没有看到，因为我去晚了）
而且力尹在演出的时候唱的也真的好好哦，虽然有一点紧张（毕竟第一次回家表演嘛！），但整体发挥的真的是不错！下面的歌迷还有随着节拍叫张力尹的名字！虽然感觉巧克力不是很多，可是仙后和妖精对力尹也是很热情！
但是我跟宝贝住的酒店不是一个，所以不能总见到她，还蛮郁闷的！可总是见到了嘛！呵呵。原谅公主没有刚回来就向大家报告，因为实在那几天太累了！
好了，有时间我会把拍的视频传上来的，就只能听到声音，还蛮不清楚的！

give her a break, she still new to all of this. all of the big important stars these days liek boa, kangta and yes even dbsk had time in their life when they had no fans or very little. but they were able to make a name for themselves in the kpop world. ri in is different from the others she shy and gets nervous easily but she does have what it takes to become a huge star one day.

Yeah .. Ri In is really shy and that's what makes her so cute!!

I know a lot of people want to see Ri In's performance of Y, in which she sang in Hainan. I heard that they will not broadcast that performance until her official debut, which is early next year.

I really don't want to sound mean, but do you think Ri In has Social Anxiety D.? She doesn't really seem comfortable being around with anyone. Even when she was sitting next to HanKyung, she seems so tensed. Poor girl, I hope she'll get over it soon.

I really agree with you. SM knows how to promote their artists. I also, noticed Jang Ri In before Xiah. I remember I was like "Who the heck is this Xiah in Dong Bang Shin Ki?"
It's a smart move to somewhat promote both artists, but promoting the new one a bit more.

edit: Yup, SM sure does know how to promote its artists. Honestly, I wasn't really a fan of DBSG. I like some of their songs and that is just it. When Timeless came out, I was like let me listen to this person whom everybody called "the Chinese Boa." I listened to it and thought wow her voice is beautiful. I noticed Liyin before Junsu too. As I get to know Liyin, of course the name Junsu will be brought up and, thus I started to like DBSG more knowing how nice they treat Liyin.

I'm mei mei if you're confused.

I say that Timeless is harder to sing because you have to sing soft, and so virbrato and project at the same time. You have to go high and try to not sound really sharp. You have to hold the high note long, so you really have to control your breathing. You have to somewhat stretch out the note, loud and clear. You also have to control how much you're exerting out and yea. Lol

I don't know .. both songs are equally hard, but if I had to choose, I'd say Timeless. The notes are a lot higher throughout the whole song and it's hard to hit the high notes especially because there are more high notes in Timeless than in Y. <-- Did that make sense? o.O Also, the reason why I believe she can't get the last part of Timeless perfectly is because she's been belching out those notes in the beginning and especially after the chorus of the second verse (the highest part) already so her voice should be a little coarse, at least I think it should be .. IDK, don't listen to me. =D My friends even says I talk nonsense most of the time ..

I think Y because Timeless even tho vocally a great song Y has more i dont know how you say, various notes that need to be hit at multiple times (im not a singer, and you dont want to hear me in the car). I say Y is the korean Alicia Keys song cause it does remind you of her music. But I think Y is more challenging on the vocal cords, imo.

As for Ri In's anxiety she is young and im not sure how long she was trained before SM released her but she is 17 and seems very timid, its hard for her to adjust so i hope she has great support from friends and family (im unsure about SM as a company) but as long as she has that they she will be fine, but i would be nervous like her if i was in her position. I think that she needs family near her tho i think that will help alot. I think she be more at ease if she had her family with her at big events

well i think Timeless is harder. Y is hard also but Timeless those notes are harder to CONTROL. I could sing Why. not pleasant =.= but i could still reach the notes, but timeless u have to reach the notes and exert a lot of air for vibratto etc.
