when i heard the mp3 i was really impressed with her voice. in my opinion, it's stronger than boa's and less screechy/shouting.

the performance was so-so. i understand the pressure and how it tough, but you could really hear the shaking after a while...and i believe she even went a bit off key (jsut for a note or two) at the end.

i look forward to what she has to bring in the future...

i really can understand why she would be nervous and whatnot being label as the chinese boa, dbsk fans cheering junsu on more then her, feeling of competition with Sun Min thanx Hyesung performance, and a chinese singer as herself debuting in the korean music industry.



I would say that is a lot of pressure for her. I hope she shakes off the nervousness and show the korean fans what she is made of ^^.



I have a lot of faith in her and I know in the future she will succeed ^^.

i just watched the performance. it was okay for a first performance. she probably felt bad afterwards, because i know she could have sounded better. but it must have been her nerves. i still love her voice, though. i can't wait for the perf tomorrow.

well, I've also just watched the performance of Zhang Li Yin...
I'm not really a fan of her (or maybe not yet) and i am not fond of her song 'timeless' (but undoubtedly she has great singing skills), but as everyone I was expecting a lot from her with all those rumors and adds
I was a little disappointed but it has been very difficult for her probably because it was her first performance and all, she didn't even move a little, she was standing here very nervous... O_o poor her >_<
I agree with someone's comment, I think she has a really soft image but she doesn't really have charisma and well... I don't think she is pretty (I was thinking that too when I saw her pics), I think she is okay... (I'm not bashing her but just giving my advice >_<). Charisma is very important nowadays, so I would feel bad if she doesn't succeed because of that >_<, she really has talent. I think probably in Korea she will succeed but not as big as everyone think because there charisma and physical appearance are really important for entertainers, however I'm sure she will succeed in China since she is the type of singer chinese people like (the way she is dressed and all).
I prefer the korean version better than the chinese version of timeless, actually in the chinese version I think xiah fears to do bad pronounciation so I guess he didn't really dare to sing it loud.
Well, I think I like her and I hope people won't be too mean against her...
she will do better in the following performance.

it honestly, wasn't THAT bad.
yes, it wasn't her best, its def. not as good as her recorded version.
but it wasn't horrendous. her voice was still pretty powerful it was just a bit shaky, but shes not exactly really experienced in doing lives with lights and a bazillion xiah fans.
notice how she didn't even smile once? =T
well i don't want to make excuses for her, so lets just hope she'll be better.
she has a lot of invested money resting on her shoulders.

um somebody was talking about boa's debut?
to be honest, boa's voice was not as strong as JRI's when she first debuted.
ive seen boas debut, boa debuted with a lipsynch cuz she was only known for being young and able to dance in the beginning. she also did like a few lives afterwards and her songs werent exactly demanding and difficult you kno? (id; peace b, sara)
boa has definitely improved tho.
i'm not bashing boa in any way just stating the facts.

Considering Korean isn't her first language...and she's a solo artist...I'm pretty impressed w/ her first "live" performance. Her voice was really shaky, probably due to nervousness...but, she's still got the emotion into the song...with all the pressure even before debuting, she did well. I'm sure she's gonna improve, once she gets comfortable onstage. still love her voice.

wow she was shaking .. her left fingers that were holding the mike kept moving/twitching

in my opinion her voice sounds exactly like the recording but her nerves got to her and caused her voice to crack that much. i mean don't people start breathing a lot faster and stuff when they're really nervous? but imagine not being able to breathe right while singing a ballad song. i don't blame her for being so nervous afterall she's the first solo chinese artist to debut in korea. i hope she gets rid of her nerves QUICK or else people will start frowning at her... as we all know how critical netizens in korea tend to get.

i'm still a fan though... her voice sounds really strong and i think she has the potential to be a famous female solo artist in korea as soon as she gets used to the: lights, loud music, screaming audience, cameras, and all the other chaos going around her while she's singing on stage.

just felt like asking, have you guys ever auditioned for anything before? probably not right? or have you sung on a stage by yourself or performed a solo or concerto? if you haven't you don't know how nervewrecking it is... i auditioned w/ violin for many many things and even though the judges were behind a cardboard for some of them, i still got nervous and my heart would pound at like mm140 and my bow hand would shake and my hands would slide... yeah so don't be too hard on her...

i think it was kinda ridiculous that the korean fans wouldn't let xiah and riIn look at each other. when artists do duets (whether it be with the opposite gender or the same gender) they have to continuously look at each other for emotion/que/timing/etc. throughout the song. but the ONE time xiah tried to look at riIn, the korean fans started screaming and he didnt even get to turn his head all the way towards her. he just kinda did a little tilt and closed his eyes and turned his head back to the audience. i think that if the Casiopeia fans werent so anal, and riIn were able to look at xiah, she would've done a lot better. timing would've been better and since she prob practiced with him, he would've lead her. and she could rely on him as like a mentor and tehy can "talk" through their eyes. and if she didnt have to stare into the massive audience and divert her attention somewhere else, maybe she wouldnt have been so nervous.

i am a Casiopeia myself... but sometimes the really younger fans just baffle me... i was never like that when i was their age with H.O.T. when tehy were at their peak.

i'm still undecided on riIn so i can't wait for her second performance! i still think that if she were as great of a singer as publicity makes her out to be, she would've corrected her tune at the end at, "less~" she was still good on reaching her high notes though. she's still young. she's def going to be the next chinese Boa though.

i liked xiah's perf too. i REALLY liked that he quieted himself even more down when riIn and him sing together. you can barely hear him bc he wants riIn to be heard. ^^ true gentleman. his vocals and persona improved. his face expressions and gestures are more mature now. LOVED IT!!
