just listened to Heaven today and it was heavenly... lame, i know... but the song's really different than her single. the single's 2 tracks really showcased her power vocals. this time, it's a more gentle and soothing song. very nice! and i love her bits in Snow Dream. what a wonderful distinct voice! now i have to go watch the MV... thanks for the official pic! she looks gorgeous. love it when she smiles. ^^

Jang Ri In sounds really great in the recording of Timeless, but when I watched her live concert online I thought her voice sounded very unstable and untamed.

Although her voice sounds a little forced in Snow Dream, I have to say it caught my attention in a good way. She does have a very powerful voice suited for the part.

PS: The comment in the BoA fan thread is taken too seriously here, we never said that she literally STOLE BoA's part. As far as Im concerned alot of BoA fans (at least the one I know) like JRI. =]

Yes. Actually, people in BoAjjang are complimenting Jang Ri-in ever since she debuted.
So there's not conflict between BoA and Jang Ri-in.

Yes, I understand what you mean.. I know that many people do judge based on one performance.. that was just my opinion anyway.

I have seen most of JRI's performances, but you know I wasn't very impressed.
However, that doesn't mean I'm not going to give her a chance; I may not be fond of her now, but if she improves, why shouldn't I like her? I happen to like "Heaven". This is a song I can see her performing well; her other two songs are difficult to sing, imo, and like people have said, she doesn't really seem comfortable on stage yet. She's a shy girl (I can relate).

I sometimes come here to check if she's done any recent performances and see what she might be doing in the future. But a lot of the convos here are about pairing her up with someone. xD

yep i think sm did a little favouring with her on this one. heaven by far is the best song from the 2006 SMTown Winter Album. no offense to the other artists featured on there.

she is really pretty in that pic from the smtown site. she looks more comfortable with all of the sm ppl in the mv. and it looked like she was having a fun time. i love her smile especially when it showed up in the mv.

no she didn't have plastic surgery...if you look at pictures from when she was younger she still looks exactly the same...

just watched the MV... not too many liyin parts... but that's ok... she looked all smiley and so pretty. and she seemed to enjoy herself. i think Heaven's a good contrast to her 2 previous songs. and i do agree that it's one of the best tracks on the album. i listened to all the songs today for the first time. it'd be a treat if she ever performs this. =D i have to rewatch the MV to catch her snippets... i caught sight of her with TRAX. and then bits and pieces here and there. *lol*

I agree...and besides we have to give her credit for singing live...she could have choose to lip-synch but she sang live...and also soo many artists now are lip-synching....you gotta give her props...she does have a good voice...
