and the clothes in the y mv.. they're pretty but .... it wouldn't make you go 'woah'
the clothes on the performance were pretty horrible but it kind of gives the feel that she reigns that stage

i have to say...

that i'm quite disappointed with the performance. I don't know what happen, but i thought her hainan performance was wayy better then this one. She seemed really confident on the stage, but her voice hasnt reached that "wow" factor yet. I still have faith in her and that she would improve, but she needs to know that their are other korean female artists that are going to debut next year might try to beat her.

I'm not saying that I don't have much hope on zhang li yin is that...she needs to step up a little bit because artists like Kim Ji Eun and Park Bom are going to debut and they both have good voices.

I really hope and pray that she would improve more on this song.

Other then that,

I could see that she improved quite a bit, but not soo much that it "wowed" me. I'm still a huge fan of zhang li yin and i'll support her...is that she needs to step up in the game. Best of wishes for zhang li yin.

Okay .. first of all .. here's my honest opinion of the performance:
I thought the one in Hainan was better than this one. She sounded so tired at some parts and she kept making that sound like she's rolling her throat when she starts going high. I didn't like it. I don't know her reason for doing that .. maybe she practiced too much that she lost some of her voice .. but I think she shouldn't do it so often. However, her stage presence here was a lot better than all the other performances. She seemed more comfortable, especially with the way she bobbed to the music and moved her hands. I gotta disagree with you guys on the outfit here. I thought the outfit looked nice .. all they needed to do was toss the ruffles. >.< I thought she looked reallly cute in her white outfit and straight hair. =D

Edit -- I agree with what KuYA II said. This performance didn't blow me away or make me say wow. She sounds confident now and not so shaky, though. Hopefully with time, her performances will get better and stronger. I'm still a huge fan and will alway support her. Jang Ri In fighting!

me too =/ I guess i expected more, like the Hainin performance. But i think her korean was pretty good here, its really hard to some chinese people to pronounce the korean notes, but im loving her black hair ;D She looks more... chinese in my opinion now. but she has improved !! and thats good, shes just running out of air sometimes, but hey shes a tiny person lol. I hope she will do better the next year, in her debut in China, i dont want them to bash her

btw im currently watching the kbs end of the year festival performances for dbsk and super junior. i have to say their performances are pretty impressed. they wowed me so much that im at a lost for words. the kbs concert thing is even better than the awards were. no one is bored here at all. im thinking its a smart idea that kbs and mbc did.

sorry i went off topic but it leads into my next point. the kbs one is so good, just imagine how good the mbc one should be since all of sm will be there especially ri in. btw they should all do a musical together like junsu, kangin, and others did at the kbs one.

let's hope that ri in gets some considerable amount of stage appearance. since mbc is the last big performance or concert show of the year, im pretty sure sm will wow us to certain length. after all they want to end this year with a bang right. they probably have something planned that we'll remember them for quiet awhile.

im gonna be so late or have to wake up early. btw there is so much buzz in the dbsk and super junior thread thanks to the kbs end of the year think i wouldn't be suprised if they grew to 2000 pgs. and after the mbc one i won't be surprised if here in the ri in forum we go pass 200+ pgs. let's try to shoot for that.

again srry i go off topic every now and then in this post. these were just my personal thoughts i had to share with everyone. since later on when im watching i think i'll be completely unreachable. like in daydream world or total crazy obsessed fan when i see ri in on stage. aww me too. i remember hearing snow dream and i was just sitting there for a bit. then when she appeared with the trax, i kept searching for her. then something happened and i actually pulled the window down and then i heard her part. needless to say, i was so amazed by her range.

btw did u notice that sm is trying to bring the ruffles look back? dbsk wore some ruffles at the sbs awards and now jang ri in. and then during the kbs concert thing dbsk wore ruffles again. is it just me or does her outfit look like something jaejoong would wear. he might of picked it out for her. god im daydreaming again.

I'm not bashing her because I do think that she has major talent but this performance was as some people said kinda messy, we all know she cansing good but maybe she still does need a little more time to relax and get into her own. Hahaha...ruffles look really good on Se7en, but on LiYin not so much...or maybe because her ruffle was really big.
I notice that SM likes to dress LiYin boyishly. I seldom see her wear dresses or skirts, except for the MKMF awards and that one part in her Y mv.

Wow i just watched the Y perf and personally i thought it was better than the Hainan one? She looked so comfortable on stage and i noticed she even mouthed along song of the lines of the backsingers as she waited for her part? =] She seemed a lot more confident and her voice sounded good. The only thing bothering me is that i didn't like how the "power" notes were all dropped downO_O she has amazing range but when she hits the harder notes she rolled them in the back of her throat and made it sound a lot deeper and lower than it should be. I can't wait to watch the end-of the year perf with all of SM! ZHANG LI YIN FIGHTING! She has overcome (for the most part) her stage fright and i think her perfs will just get better from here on!

Completely agree. Junsu seems to make LiYin nervous. Do you remember the 9/17/06 timeless performance, where she stood very far away from Junsu?...well that was the best Timeless performance she gave. I really liked it.

It wouldn't surprise me if she really was nervous singing on stage with Junsu, considering how good of a singer he is, the amount of fans he has, and TVXQ's popularity. I would be quite scared too if I was in her shoes. So I think she did awfully well already in the 'Timeless' performances. The 'Y(Why)' performance however, was a tad disappointing. Although I did notice her confidence and her singing was up to par, what I didn't like was the way she sang it, like many of you had already mentioned. If the song was performed differently, her performance as a whole would have been much better.

Anyway I can't wait to see her with the rest of SM Town xD

mwahaha...that comment made me heart skip a beat. I'm a DBSK fangirl so I kinda dont like hearing rumours of the boys with girls {silly me}; but I definitely, definitely like Jang RiIn with JJ. I dont know why; but I like Hankyung or JJ for her. there are more Junsu-JRI fans out there, but I'm one of the few JJ-JRI supporters.

I'm silly. anyway, we can expect her on MBC right? I should back-page a bit to learn more about this girl. I just love her voice after countless times of listening to Heaven.

Yeah .. her voice range did sound lower in this performance than the recorded one. I just hope when she performs this song again, she'd be even more comfortable and would sing without the roll in the throat. IDK, it doesn't sound very nice to me. >.< Can't wait til tomorrow!!
