I was wondering if Jang Ri In will also sing Y on TV? hahaha after she sings Timeless, or will she just stop after she sings Timeless and go to record her album/single.

But i'm noticing, she still pretty stiff throughout the whole performance, and it just gives me the feeling shes not putting all her emotions into the song.
She did good nontheless.

I must say that her performancing is pretty good today. I can see the improvement in her voice and i know like what people say that she will improve once she is used to performing huge crowds.
I have a lot of confidence in jang ri in which i'm not sure why, but i know that she will get better and better along the way.
I'm glad that she sang a ballad song because it shows that even though she was nervous, she had to fight that off and being able to handle the crowd.
Jang ri in fighting!! <3

I was surprised that a Jang Ri In thread is already THIS big!
Mmmm... I saw the performance and it wasn't as good as I expected. *winces* But she'll do better next time! With talent like hers, she would have improved drastically in time for her next perf.

SM's Jang Ri-in and EMG's Sun Min are in their 1st round of showdown.
Sun Min had her debut performance with Shin Hye Sung last week in SBS Ingigayo while Jang Ri-in had her debut performance with Xiah Junsu in MBC's music show last September 9.
SM Entertainment and EMG Entertainment have groomed these female singers as next generation stars of Asia. They are originally from China and Japan, respectively, and were trained to conquer Asia. In addition, they were both opened to the public with 2 popular boyband members, Shin Hye Sung of Shinhwa and Xiah Junsu of TVXQ!.
Netizens are already comparing Jang Ri-in's performance last September 9 with Sun Min's. Confrontations of fans online are getting hotter.
The Japanese movie in which Sun Min's song was used grossed 20,000,000,000 won. Her single which was released last July 5 and ranked 20 in the Orikon charts for 2 weeks.
Her single "Sun Min thanx Hye Sung" was released on August 31 and on August 27, she had her debut performance of "Keep Holding U" with Shin Hye Sung in SBS Ingigayo.
Jang Ri-in with TVXQ!'s Xiah Junsu sang a song entitled "Timeless", which was released for free download on August 31. On September 4, just 5 days after its release, the song already recorded 870,000 downloads. Jang Ri-in and Xiah Junsu had their first performance in MBC's music show last September 9.
Sun Min and Jang Ri-in are attracting attention because of their many similarities.
Both are young females. Sun Min is 19 years old while Jang Ri-in is only 16 years old. Their title tracks are both considered R&B tracks. Also, they are originally from overseas, particularly from Japan and China, who were molded to become stars of Asia.
In addition, they debuted with two members of popular groups Shinhwa and TVXQ!. Sun Min is paired with Shinhwa's Hye Sung and Jang Ri-in is paired with TVXQ!'s Xiah Junsu. The groups these male singers are from have big fan bases and will surely show support to them.
Moreover, SM and EMG can be said to be in a competition. Shinhwa, after ending their exclusive contract with SM Entertainment, transferred to Good Entertainment (Good EMG Entertainment).
These two singers competition will surely be interesting.

Okay, here goes.
Her 2nd performance was DEFINITELY better than the first. I don't detect that much nervousness or off keys, which is a good thing. She's starting to get adjusted to the stage.
However, am I the only one who has a problem with her singing? The way she stretches her voice is quite annoying and it doesn't sound very pleasant. While she brought out those long range notes, I noticed that her voice goes up and down repeatedly... and it doesn't flow smoothly.
Also, at the end, she seemed more like she's screaming than singing. I know that the ending parts are suppose to be dramatic and what not, but I think she's over sang the ending. lol.
One more thing. I don't think that JunSu and Jang Ri In's voice flows well with each other AT ALL during their two live performances. It seriously sounds like when you're playing two songs at one time, doesn't sound nice... and this isn't a problem on JunSu's part. He's obviously trying hard to blend in his voice with Jang Ri In.. however, Jang Ri In's singing makes it kind of hard to, you know? Damn. Now I sound like I'm putting all the blame on Jang Ri In, but that's honestly what I think while I was watching the performances.
This is just my opinion. There's gotta be praises and criticism, right?
Hm... I don't quite like her singing just yet, but I'll check back on her later.

definitely looking forward to their music core and inkigayo perf's next week. i think if li yin just takes a deep breath and knock off those jitters, she can really let her voice soar.
is her song Y (why...) an original piece or a remake? somehow the melody reminds me of an english song, but i can't quite put my finger on it. i wonder if she'll perform this song right away after the perf's with junsu are done considering junsu probably can't free up too much more time to duet with her.

If you listen, listen CLOSELY, her live voice sounds the same as her recorded voice. She doesn't sound TOTALLY DIFFERENT as people have been saying. Of course cracks will make the song sound different, but think about it. During recordings, a singer cannot make mistakes because there are singing coaches there perfecting every bit of the song.
Yea, you can't defend a poor performance by saying "its her first time on stage" (even though I too am guilty of saying that), because there have been many people who did very well during their first live performance. BUT----people react in different ways.
Who knows why she wasn't at her best. She could have been nervous, the audience's screaming could have thrown her off, etc, etc, etc... But LSM wouldn't have made her go on stage live if he knew/thought she wasn't ready.
Everyone needs to just give her a chance to improve because she's so young, and I'm sure she hasn't already reached her full potential.
I definitely definitely agree 100% with you. Although I did try to defend her so-so performance...I feel that it did have some sort of impact on her. But at the same time...yes she probably was ready to go on stage but yes I'm sure she will improve once she's out there more because she obviously has talent. For someone to sing a type of song like timeless...and be able to sing with xiah...she's got to have some talent cuz no everyone can p ull of a recording of this song...
And yes you were right about her sounding like the recording..you can easily tell it's her voice so yes Jang Ri In **Hwaiting!
EDIT://well right now I'm watching her second performance and I'm not even halfway done but it's obviously much better than her first - like everyone else has been saying
