i just found out that "Y" is org. from Jamelle Fraley but she is sooo unheared of in the states, so i'm like sooo suprise w/ SM to fine such an amazing osng for JRI to redo. & i personally think that the korean version is better..

actually the english version doesn't sound that bad either... but i think jang ri in's voice is a bit more edgier, jamelle's voice is more softer.

if anyone would like to hear the original version, i'll be happy to upload and post it up.

^Yeah .. Jamelle's voice is a lot softer while Ri In's vocals are a lot stronger. However, both have amazing ranges and sang this song beautifully. ^^

I'm sorry to crush this idea but in order for Ri In to perform at MKMF she would have to apply for Korea citizenship. However knowing SM they'll get her to do that once she's all famous and established. By then, we'll get to see more of her hopefully! God speaking of MKM, I can't wait until December 2007 for the award shows. I hope SM let's her go to more of them and let her perform at SBS Awards and let her have her own stage at the MBC end of the year festival. Ok I'm getting a little a head of myself.

I agree with you if Ri In is successful which is she will be, she will definitely expose Koreans to Chinese music. Same here I want to hear Ri In singing in Chinese in Korea as well! I can't wait for the years to come!

I hope her stylists have a better idea now of what they should dress her in for Y performances. I already know that the SBS stage will be awesome just like the last one. The MBC ones weren't as nice. The whole lightening thing where you could barely see her and the blinding light parts that would come in just confused me and angered it. I wonder what Ri In's hair is like now! It's probably super long by now. Her hair grow pretty fast from what I've notice.

yunchikan: Yah I know. It's kinda of disappointing that Timeless and Y are cover songs but Ri In did put her spin on them. She added a little bit of herself into the song. An original song? Try listening to Heaven. It's a song that Ri In sang for the 2006 SMTown Winter Album. Btw her versions were better than the originals.

Speaking of SMTown, I can't wait for 2007 Summer SMTown Album. The title song for it is going to be phenomenal. I think Ri In will definitely dance in the mv for this song. It doesn't have to be complicated dance moves but simple ones will suffice. I heard her dancing is one of the best. She can dance very well and on beat too. Also I wonder what her individual song for the Summer Album will be like as well. I hope it's a happy and upbeat one. She does great with love ballads but I want to see her sing a happy and upbeat song as well. I don't want to see her with sad emotions all the time. Her smile is just too pretty to not flaunt on stage!

And about her learning japanese. cool, but shouldn't she improve more her korean? Although I don't understand korean, some people say that she doesn't pronounce the words well...

^I agree that she should learn one language at a time. She should definitely try to improve her Korean, but it's generally a lot easier for a Chinese person to learn Japanese than to learn Korean. Well, my Chinese friends learn Japanese a lot faster than they learn English. I don't know why that is. And about her English, she should know at least the basics because in big cities in China, English is mandatory from elementary to middle school. And the reason that Hankyung's English is not that great because he went to elementary, middle, and high school somewhere in old Manchuria, that's where he used to live.

i think SM will get her to apply for citizenship tho..because that is seriously a HUGE handicap >.> It sucks that she cant perform on mkmf coz those awards seem to be the funnest, all the artists seem to work harder to produce a good show at mkmf rather than the other, more serious award shows.

^ Yah I know. I love MKMF. Hehe for 2006, it was the best award show for me! I love all the collaborations that people did whether if they just danced together or sang together. It was just simply nice and it was an added bonus that Ri In was there. Btw Mnet sure does love SM, their cameras were focused on the SM artists for almost the entire show. It was all good though. I got to see tons of Ri In in the audience with DBSK and Super Junior!

i don't know whether someone has already said this AND its a bit old but everyones is saying that Kelly Clarkson was the original singer of Timeless, but thats WRONG --------> it's Tina Arena [i just thought she deserves credit too] (personally i think Tina's version is better, its pretty much in the same key as Li Yin's except she reaches the high note well, thats probably cos Tina Arena has ALOT of experience so its understandable) Kelly clarkson did a remake.

I really like how they made the performance so PERSONAL. Darn I would have LOVED if Xiah and Jang Ri In had performed so...intimately like Tina and Kane did hahaha *dreaming*.

I still prefer Xiah's voice in the song over that guy tho, Kane Alexander sounds like Justin. I think they both did better than kelly and justin overall tho haha.

about the whole visa and citizenship thing..
If Ri In applies for the citizenship it doesn't make her special anymore..I don't know.. although it gives her more media coverage..
I don't really fancy that idea..
and she may get slammed by the Chinese audience who aren't into Hallyu (not all Chinese are into Hallyu yeah..like Jay Chou..haha..)
and her family's in China too..

Really? I watched the video on youtube. I have to say Ri In most likely watched a performance of that and went from there rather than of Kelly Clarkson's. The Timeless that Ri In and Junsu did is a lot more similiar to the Tina Arena one. However Ri In and Junsu put more depth and power into the song. It's just my opinion but I'm a bit bias sometimes.

Honestly, I think Kelly and Ri In sang this song better than Tina. IDK, something about her voice bugs me. When she gets to the high part, she just go straight to it, but when Kelly and Ri In gets there, they move their way up .. I think it sounds better like that. However, when she gets to the highest part .. I think she pulled it off better than Ri In. I still don't think anyone can sing better than Junsu in this song.
