i'm new here to this thread..i think.
but i'm not new with jang ri in haha. i really like her i love her songs, and i think she has a very powerful voice. except she still lacks control when she's singing live, i gotta admit. but you guys had all that talk already.

even Shinhwa had to wait patiently for 7 years to get the award .

it's not like jang ri in got the daesang. -__-;
she got the inkigayo award thing mabob. and shinhwa got like 1149128 of those.
there's a HUGE difference between the mutizen song award and the daesang.

i gotta admit though, she didn't seem too surprised when she got the inkigayo award.
maybe it's because she doesn't really know the meaning behind that award and stuff.
and it was her FIRST official award, yet she had no reaction to it, which i found sortof odd.
maybe she should've gotten the award later on like some of you guys mentioned because then she will know how hard it is to get up there, cause i bet some people that were around for hella long have never gotten an award...even if it's just the mutizen song award. -0-; ehh.

yea theres a difference between the mutizen and daesang!!!
but getting #1 is almost every gasoo's dream/goal! so i think it can be like a daesang
& i'd say the mutizen is somewhat really important.

ehehe i just like seeing singers really overwhelmed and thankful, because then i can tell how important/meaningful it was to them!!

oh yea;; of course there are a lot of singers that didn't get to place #1, even if they've been around for a while.. like the group "turtles".. they got their first mutizen a couple weeks ago! ^^ turtle man criedTT_

lol why is everyone 'analysing' her reaction to the award? god who cares? Everyone reacts differently to everything maybe she was REALLY happy inside but is one of those people who don't show it. I mean there are TONS of peopel i have seen on the oscars and when they get they're award they don't seem REALLY happy but just calm happy like jang ri in was. Just because there are artists who cry at this award doesn't mean if someone doesn't they're not happy

And besides other than that maybe, like someone already said, she had no idea what mutizen really signifies i mean she's not from Korea. And I'm sure she had a degree of expectation knowing she was with Xiah. So just because she wasn't !" doesn't mean she's gna take it for granted. Im sure she knows more than anyone once she's solo it's gna be much much harder for her.

And the thanking Xiah thing, i didn't really expect her to thank Xiah because 'Timeless' won and they both sing it so in a way it's both of them winning and she's speaking on they're behalf. It's like right now they're in a..'mini band'. I mean when DBSK wins awards, Yunho doesn't thank the members right? (from what i've seen..maybe sometimes he does i dunno) because they all won it. I don't know, i don't think you guys shoudl be nitpicky about that, it doesn't mean she's 'ungrateful' to Xiah. i think people are being overcritical about things. And even if you think she should have thanked Xiah and she didn't..doesn't mean she's ungrateful, she just forgot. Think of all the people who forget to thank they're husbands at the oscars..not many ppl think they're ungrateful because of it >.>

although it was a little weird for her to not to react in a sort of "spazzing out/crying way" i read at least 5 articles about her and how she cried a lot after the encore stage.

so i guess she's the type of person who doesnt like to show her emotions on screen. just cause we don't SEE her reaction doesnt mean she doesn't know the meaning behind the mutizen award or doesnt appreciate it.

we can be so blind as humans sometimes. we only judge things that we SEE.

thank you!! someone who understands! just because she didn't cry doesn't mean that there must have been some kind of a scheme to make her win. maybe she just didn't know how big the mutizen award was.

She did react to it calmly. So what if she didn't get majorly excited on screen but yea I read about the articles about her just super excited backstage after she won. I don't think she show that much emotion when she won because she was not trying too hard when she appeared on screen after she won but she still show a smile if you look closely. I hope more success comes and I know she's gonna achieve the level of popularity of an "Asia superstar"!

Actually if you look at their (Psy and Turtles) competition, it's really no surprise that they won Mutizen. Also, both their album sales were really good at that time. I have to admit though, Inkigayo's Take7 has been quite boring for the past month or two, because more than half of the qualifiers don't even perform on the show anymore. These days, more people are making comebacks so hopefully it'll pick up soon.
