As for jangriin's english, the english in timeless wasn't hard to pronounce.
if the words had f's or r's in it, you would probably detect an accent.
but yeah, her accent IS pretty good.

haha, but when you listen to her sing "y" her english is actually really good. i actually understood every english word she said. as in, the whole "your fantasy, can you feel my love tears, why baby why, when you need me when you hold me, helpless and breathless and speechless, you leave me powerless, come into me".... etc.

...except for "ceremony," i didn't get what that was. o_O;

ANYWAY. hahah changmin sang it REALLY well. XDXD

oh, and Natsumi_sshi: i think she just sang the chinese version in a different style...

Jang Ri-in has decent chops but she has a way to go before she gets stage presence/comfort on stage. Her vibrato is way out of control. I hope she's singing with an ear monitor too, because that helps with modulating volume. She's not quite comfortable with blending with Xiah, it seems. People have noted that Changmin and Xiah sounded great together in that clip, but Changmin has been performing for two years now in a group, so he definitely has more comfort on stage and is used to adjusting his performance with someone else, Xiah in particular, since they're in the same group.

I look forward to seeing how Jang Ri-in develops. It's too soon to say how she'll do for sure. Good luck, Jang-ssi ~

I totally love Timeless, such a great song. She and Xiah sing it so well. Have not yet heard Changmin and Xiah's version but the think the one she and xiah did together is pretty good. Love her voice and she's so so so young. Younger then I am anyway..hahaah and yeah already debuted..*sigh* hope to see more of her and wow her Korean sounds so good.

jang ri in's msot recent one was on teh 24th of september, which was when she recieved the award.
well that's what i think, coz she hasn't performed after that night yet. so yeh.
but i sure hope she will soon XD

Reasons Why Jang Ri In Deserves the #1 Spot

Chinese artist Jang Ri In (Zhang Li Yin) received the Mutizen award on SBS Inkigayo only after her third week of debut. "First place in half a month? That's impossible, " many people protested online.

16 year old Jang Ri In was born in Sichuan, China. She joined a singing competition in China in 2001 when she was 11 years old and demonstrated her singing talent. The news passed all the way to Korea and SM ended up signing with her.

During her first visit to Korea in 2003, she only had the thoughts of becoming a singer in her mind. There were a lot of things she wasn't used to. She used body language to say something in Korean. Sometimes she even need to draw a picture out and was very lonely. Being the only child in her family, it is hard to leave your parents after all the love you had with them. But she focused on training, so she can be just like BoA.

Three years later, Jang Ri In gained much recognition. There were no more problems with communicating in Korean. She recently released her first single album and first she thanked Xiah Junsu, "He took care of me like a real sister. Xiah Junsu is really busy and although we don't get to see each other most of the time, he takes care and teaches me a lot of things."

Xiah Junsu's popularity is really high and it's actually quite a burden. They worried that Xiah Junsu's fans would envy her and become antis. But fortunately, there are no Junsu fans that are 'anti-Jang Ri In'.

Jang Ri In started listening to American pop artists like Mariah Carey, Boyz II Men, and Whitney Houston when she was 8 years old. "My hobbies are composing songs and writing lyrics. I hope after today I can compose a lot of songs so I can become a real artist."

Her second single, Y, will soon be released and she will be debuting at her home country, China, in the beginning of next year.
