I had an early jump in SAT II. I took MATH IIC in 9th and 10th grade and Biology in 10th. So, I finally got 780 for Math and 770 for Biology. But, I feel like I can actually get an 800 on them if I just study a bit harder. Do you think I should just take it or would it be too risky? I'm going to be takin AP Calc BC this year and in 10th grade I was still in Pre-Calculus and for Biology, I'm taking AP Bio soon... I don't know what to do. I feel kind of stupid around my classmates b/c they all get 800s. I hate competitiveness. Should I? My mom is pressuring me to kind of do it again. Help!

first of all... man ur scores already are so good.. and ur taking ap biology soon? wow how'd u study for sat2 bio.
imo, it doesnt sound like its worth the stress.

honestly, there isn't much difference between 780 and 800. my friend got accepted to all the ivies with 770+ on all her SAT sections, so don't stress it too much. you have to test scores, now just work on keeping your GPA high, and being involved around the school, community service, etc.

^ Are you sure? My math teacher told me that colleges will be content with a 780, but they'll be like "WOW" for a 800.

the difference between a 780 and an 800 is basically getting one problem wrong. its really not THAT big of deal. i mean, of course it won't hurt you at all to have 800 compared to 780... but to me it wouldn't be worth all the stress and extra money in test fees. plus, when you score that high there's a high chance that your scores will either stay the same or drop.

Yes. If you think you have the chance of getting an 800, go for it!

Especially since you're planning to take AP bio soon, that will help you out so much more in achieving an 800.

i was kinda in ur situation--i got a 770 on math first time
at first i was content but
competitiveness =x (my friend got 790)
so i re-took and got 800
as long as u think u have a shot at 800, go ahead and re-take it, because it cant hurt right?
