Not exactly. Having too much on your desktop, especially files rather than shortcuts are a likely source for 'lag.'

Why, does yours have the always on top kind of properties when you do anything fullscreen or overlap the desklet?
thx so far .... well i had a program like word running fullscreen and the desklets were still in the front ....
want i actually want is ...
like with mac os x .... u click somewhere and all the desklets disappear ... u click again and they all come back ...
... yeah ^^

You have to change it to Z-Ordering. I don't think you use the same Dock program as me.
But if there's an option that says like "Z-Ordering," instead of Top or Bottom, it should be Normal Z-Ordering.
