Has anyone seen the movie, the 1989 version? How is it?
I don't think there's such thing as 89 version? I loved the movie. Read it first in script like 5-6 years ago in high school and I watched a movie afterward. I really think that I'm part of the members of the Dead Poets Society, but then again to some people the sound of the title is a bit scary, HAHHAAHA. The script was beautifully written though~ "Carpe Diem, sieze the day, make your life extraordinary..."
I LUVVVVVVV THIS MOVIE!!

Oh, wow, you watched/read it too.
I actually like this movie. It's kind of sad how the other guy was going through and he did what he had to do because of all the pain and depression he was going through. This is a good movie.
I see it more as a pressure he had to encounter and cope with through his parents. It's quite unfortunate that he committed suicide due to pressure, but I really hate his dad...putting too much pressure on him..ahh..so the movie shows the most ironic thing in ithe world because for someone who has so much future yet couldn't have it because his dad wants him to go to do something he doesn't want to do.

But my teacher of religion tries so hard to be like "keating", it makes me wish we never saw the movie in class.
whenever we think of our teacher now, we all start whispering carpe diem
I've heard that Ra is a fan of fondue parties.

Alot of other films have borrowed from it, like Mona Lisa Smile (no where as good) and the History Boys (funnier, but less touching)

I guess I could kinda relate to it because my parents wanted me to become a doctor as well and I really wanted to do arts...
Anyway, I loved it.
