I volunteered about 400 hours this summer. Yeah there went my entire summer.
I was wondering, does it look better when you apply for college to put that you volunteered for 4 hours a week for 100 weeks? Or does it look better to write you volunteered 40 hours a week for 10 weeks?
Do they like to see you do a little at a time over a longer period of time, or do they like to see that you put in a lot of effort and did a lot at once?

A musical thread connects us, consistently from civilization to civilization. And that thread runs through you just as it does me. What patterns, and colors it will weave as the course of history plays out is only limited by our imagination and ability to dream." - Wang Leehom

i think colleges want to see that you are committed for a long period of time.. so i would go with the 4 hours per week in 100 weeks...
but... where the heck did you volunteer at?! i only got started at the Red Cross... TODAY... GOD i feel like such a FAILURE... are you a SENIOR btw?!!

Yeah, I'm a senior and I had no volunteer hours whatsoever, so I had to cram.
I volunteered at a community church
