hi, i'm trying to learn how to type in korean. It's been a bit difficult to do with any substantial speed without the help of a typing program. I've recently found in google korea, a site (seemingly free) that teaches little children how to type in korean. It actually seemed like it would really help me out. However, i can't read the words that pop up. I encoded my firefox and my i.e. into korean, but i still can't read them.
This is the site: http://www.kidtaja.co.kr/
Just go to the 4th tab on the top, and pick a game. I can read the korean on the website; i just can't read the korean word that pops up that i have to type out in the 'games' section.
If nothing else, if you guys can offer me a site that offers similar services, i would be most appreciative. Thanks in advance.

thanks for the hasty reply. Like i said, the encoding works fine for the website UNTIL i actually start playing the game. In the pic you posted, it works fine, but if you actually start the game, choose the level (1-8), THEN play the game, the character encoding seems to turn awry.
How did you post a pic of your own screen btw? I was always wondering about that.

One of the problems with Flash. There isn't much you can do that I know of except change your system language OR use a program like AppLocale (pAppLocale is better) and try to run IE or FF in Korean. Flash content is not affected by encoding from what I remember.

Ah your right Dudnaito, while most works several screens are messed. And yeah it seems the encoding is unaffected by flash nor does it help to switch the regional settings of FF/IE. Anyways, last choice is already mentioned by nevetes is to change your system language to Korean and hope, otherwise I'd think your SOL.

thanks about the print screen function. Never knew what that button was for prior. Sorry to be so annoying, but how does one go about changing the system language. As you can tell... i'm a tech. ignoramus.

1) Control Panel
2) Regional and Languages Options
3) Advanced tab (should be 3rd tab)
4) Language for non-Unicode programs
5) Change the drop-down text-box to your preferred language.
This is a system wide change so everything will be affected and you might notice little display "bugs". Generally not recommended just so you can run one thing. I'd try the AppLocale (pAppLocale) solution first before trying the system language because in concept they should do the same thing but the AppLocale program should only affect the desired program instead of the whole system.
