Do Collegs Care About Medical Conditions? Like a learning disability?

I have ADD, and i was wondering if its a bad idea to mention in my college essays. Do they care?(mainly UC's) and will they discriminate?

i think you just put it when they ask for it, i haven't heard of being discriminated against

dont they go easier on u then?
cuz my friend has hearing disability and he got into UCLA with like a 2.8 weighted GPA...
