hi i recently dropped physics, and before you say oooo bad move, lemme just explain myself.
i'm taking other ap classes that i can excel in and that i plan on focusing on in college. physics seems like a hindrance for me, since i will probably struggle like no other and still receive a B. do UC's require only 3 years of science? or 4? i've already taken biology, chemistry, and ap environmental science. i've got straight A's throughout my entire HS career also and a 1990 on my first SAT. what's your opinion on the topic? is physics REALLY required, or just preferred?

of course physics is only preferred since the subject applies to a lot of fields... colleges just like it

but don't be forced to take it, if you don't want to take it or you're planning on majoring in something in which physics is barely a part of, then just don't.

since my school is on block schedule, i was able to get 5 credits for science. i mean it all depends on what college ur looking at.

it just looks nice, i guess. i kind of have a question too. i'm a junior right now and i don't plan on taking physics next year. my question is do i have to take it anyways in college even if it doesn't relate to my major? ;;

Don't worry about it too much, I'm not even taking physics, because I have 5 credits for science, I took two classes last year forgetting that one of my other classes could be counted as a science class. As long as you take the required amount of science I dont really think it matters what scince you take. Because at our school it's just 3 years of science, but it doesn't say what science you need to take. Sometimes kids/teachers say it's mostly for looks.

^ In college you have core classes, like english and math and science. You have to but it depends on what science you are taking. If it's computer it would be most likely phyisics, and you get to choose what you want to take. It's not like "You have to chemisrty" like in high school and stuff. They let you choose the classes as in history you can take like american history to like asian cultural history if they offer it. So it's like you have to take history but you get to choose what one you want just as in scinece.

I hope I didn't confuse you. I'm not that good as explaining things.
