Hey, i started taking Art history AP and my teacher said that he recommends getting this book..

its pricey lol

so is it worth it? does it REALLY help THAT much?

I borrowed it from the library. It has great references on a few great paintings over the eras. Check out the library before you buy it though. haha

I have it, but I'm not taking AP Art Hist until next year (my senior year)
It is actually quite interesting and fun to read.
You should get your copy of it, so that you don't have to worry about returning it or ruining it.
The Art Hist teacher at my school absolutely LOVES this book, he said it helps so much on the AP exam.
He has a copy for every student, but he encourages everyone to buy their own copy so that they could take notes, highlight, etc.

So all in all, yes it is definitely worth the buy! I hope you do well in this class and have fun.

i think it is a condensed version of all the history told in ur HUGE-@SS art history textbook...

i am planning to buy it also since i am taking AP ART history this year.. i would recommend getting an old one @ amazon.com...

It's "The Annotated Mona Lisa", and yes, it was very helpful for me. There aren't really Art History AP review books out there, and TAML is a great review. See if you can borrow a copy from a friend (that's what I did) - even if you buy it, it's a great general Art History book.. try buying it used.
