Kim Jung Eun as YOON MI JOO
"When I pick a role, it is more important for me to choose the people I am going to work with rather than the script. And I had no doubts that I wanted to work with (director) Shin Woo-chul and (scriptwriter) Kim Eun-sook again. I play a plastic surgeon. She's a pragmatic and cheerful character. It's a challenge portraying her but I�m enjoying it. It's my first time working with Lee Seo-jin. He's serious in his work, really tries his best and makes the filming environment fun. "


Lee Seo Jin as HA KANG JAE
"I've wanted to work with Kim Jung-eun for a long time and now that I've got the chance, I'm grateful for it. She is always cheerful and happy. I enjoy working with her. In the series, I play a mafia leader who is tough on the outside but vulnerable. Whatever characters I play, there will be some points of resemblance between my character and personality in real life. Among friends, I'm tough but with my girlfriend, I'm more expressive. In the story, Kang-jae is a tough guy in the beginning but Mi-joo brings out the softness in him. "


Jung Chan as KANG SAE YEON
"Kim Jung-eun and Lee Seo-jin are professionals with careers dating way back. I have learned a lot from them. What I've learned will serve me well in my acting career. Sae-yeon is Kang-jae's stepbrother and he is always competing with Kang-jae for their father's trust and attention. He also has his sights set on Mi-joo, thinking that he deserves her more than Kang-jae."

"I'm the youngest of the four so there is going to be much for me to learn from my seniors. I'm looking forward to it. I will start filming my scenes next month. I play a bakery owner and Kang-jae's long-time girlfriend. When I get back to Seoul I intend to take lessons in baking as part of my research. Viewers when they first meet Yu-jin will have the impression that she is soft and weak but as the story develops they will see that she is strong. "

9/9/06 � Kim Kyu Ri (김규리) will costar with Kim Jung Eun and Lee Suh Jin in the Wednesday-Thursday drama �Lovers (연인)� scheduled to be aired by SBS in November. The PD and the script writer of this drama are the duo Shin Woo Chul and Kim Eun Sook (신우철, 김은숙) who have collaborated on �Lovers in Paris� and �Lovers in Prague�, and this drama is the third drama of the �Lovers� series. The press conference is scheduled on 9/19 at Beijing of China. More than 50 reporters from China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Singapore will attend the event.

KKR plays the role Yoo Jin (유진) who is an innocent woman worrying about her lover�s safety and health only. Yoo Jin lives with the main male character who is the leader of an organization of gangsters. Lee Suh Jin is selected to play the main male character. After LSJ�s role is injured and receives treatment in a hospital, he and the female doctor (played by Kim Jung Eun) fall in love. The filming of this drama is scheduled to start on 9/14 in China. Originally, Kim Seung Woo (김승우) was selected to play the main male lead. However, due to KSW�s tight schedule, the production company decides to replace KSW with LSJ because LSJ�s filming schedule of his other drama �Speed� is delayed till February of 2007. KKR�s previous drama was �The Immortal Lee Soon Shin� aired by KBS1 in 2004.

I really hope this will be a good one. Lovers in Paris was fabulous but I gave up on Prague after the first 2 episodes =/.

I've always been indifferent about LSJ. So shoot me for being shallow but I wish the PDs had chosen a more good-looking male lead. Lol..maybe male 2 will be eye candy?! These days I'm falling more for the 2nd male leads than the leading men.

Erm...I am a bit bothered by the choice of having Kim Jung Eun as the main female lead. Since she's already acted in Paris, don't think she should be casted in another Lovers series. Feels like a deja-vu (dunno if this is the right word to use)..remember Sung Seung Hoon from Autum in My Heart and Summer Scent? And look how disastrous Summer Scent turned out to be. Not to say it is SSH's fault but the point is I'm not sure it's a good idea to re-use the same leads in any series like season series or lovers series etc. KJE fans, please don't flame me. I actually like her in Paris but didn't like her in Princess Lulu, so I guess that last impression kinda lasted in me.
I actually like Lee Suh Jin in Phoenix/Firebird. Storyline sounds interesting so maybe might just follow this.

Lee Sun Jin not much of a fan of his, i only like him in 'That Woman' & 'Since I met U'. Hopefully, this drama might stir me into liking him... *who knows???*

Anyway, I'm pretty fine with KJE as the lead coz I think she's really good in LIP but sucks big time in PLulu. Just hope she won't be all cutesy in here or it will be a major turn-off to me . since she's a doc perhaps a strongheaded one? *cross our fingers*

Lovers in Paris was great as first, basically I liked it because of PSY, but I stopped watching it from ep 9 because KJE and LDG irritated me

Can't believe I have to see KJE again . Not that I hate her, she's ok, but I wonder why she's always acting silly. I find her roles in Lovers in Paris and Princess Lulu very silly

Interesting cast i must say. Premise sounds just like the movie "promise' with Park Shin Young and Jeon Do Yeon (one of my favorite movies) but hopefully it will have a better ending than LIP. That ending was the worst, i dont see the point of creativity in that one at all.

Yes yes.. it's always good to see Lee Seo Jin back in small screen ^^;;
I watched Damo not too long ago, but I miss the guy badly.
Boolsae was the last good drama I can remember of him at. So it's about time he has another project to look forward too

Not too thrilled about Kim Jung Eun either.
But there's something about her that give the vibes of that hate-love feelings kekeke..
so Imma give her a chance and see how this one will go.
Hopefully they'll maintain the good 'reputation' from Prague and bring this one to a good finish line
