Did you choose the option of allowing to load music manually in iTunes? That could be the problem.

but my computer crashed/died and along with it, all my songs.
i can probably recover my american songs since i bought them off itunes,
but the majority of my songs are korean, and those i download.
i didnt have any thing to back the songs up on, so all i have is my itouch.
is there any way i can put the songs back onto itunes?
i heard it doesnt work bc of copyright and sutff?
and if i try syncing it, i know that everything on my ipod will erase.
my friend told me about xplay but it doesnt work on my laptop for some reason..
so i tried DLing mediawidget or something like that but i dont know if it's reliable or not.
any suggestions? ><

Perhaps that can help you... There are other utilities which may be better http://lifehacker.com/394046/copy-music-fr...mputer-for-free but Yamipod is definitely worth trying.
and yeh my music just disappears from the ipod like its gone everytime i connect my ipod and try to add music like i have to load all my music on again coz it just disappears and it takes hours!!...weird isnt it??
Its the automatic sync, do you like that because you can disable it... otherwise make sure your Itunes play lists are identical to the one on your ipod. I know I don't always sync the play lists, normally I just drag from folder onto itunes into the correct folder.
Any ideas how to fix this problem? xD
It has not suffered physical damage in anyway, and has not been submerged in water. I have absoloutely no idea what's wrong with it! I'm starting to panic also, because it is not my ipod touch, it's my friends, and she hasn't even finished paying for it yet (It's a monthly pay for it thing...!) I've got to give it back to her tomorrow - can you help me Soompi?
Hold the home+power button for about 30 seconds it should restart. Otherwise, plug it into the computer and just let it sit, and hope the batteries are just drained. Otherwise you might have to erase everything and do a restore.

That certainly doesn't sound good, all I can really offer is http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/five_rs/
It sounds like most people don't have any problems with it. They say the battery life isn't quite as long, and they can't jail break it, but that's fine because there are plenty of nice free programs

Thanks for the troubleshooting site.
But I can't even do any of those because when I plug my Ipod in, it doesn't show my Ipod songs and videos.
Example: Like when I plugg it in, on the left side it says Kathy's Ipod then videos, music, etc is listed. T__T'' <-- if you didn't get what I was saying.
I think my Ipod is dead now.

If you turn off the wireless I know I could get much better battery life... the thing is I use it mostly like for soompi and meebo for AIM/msn so the battery goes POOF I know its at least 4 hours with wireless on and I have had it for a year
But I can't even do any of those because when I plug my Ipod in, it doesn't show my Ipod songs and videos.
Example: Like when I plugg it in, on the left side it says Kathy's Ipod then videos, music, etc is listed. T__T'' <-- if you didn't get what I was saying.

There has to be be a way of bringing it back.
Which ipod is it? You might be able to put it into disk mode depending on the model ( google it I don't know what ipod you have) and you might be able to try different recovery modes. For the ipod touch, we have a DFU mode (device firmware upgrade mode) and thats like the emergency emergency backup to recover... once you're in that mode you have to load something in (so your files are gone..) but it certainly works even when I try something crazy.
it gets really annoying
thanks
As far as I know there isn't a way to do that... I don't recall seeing that for the gen 1 touch where we could jailbreak and hack the files so the second gen ones definitely wont have that chance.

As far as I know there is no easy way of doing it. Like the common one http://www.yamipod.com/main/modules/home/ doesn't really like the ipod touch.
So you pretty much need to use itunes... especially for installing those programs.

If I dont explain this properly please tell me
I have 2 of the same videos on my iPod.
When I try to delete the extra one off iTunes, my computer just freezes.
The original video is, of course, on my desktop.
At first I put the video into iTunes, & I accidentally deleted the original video.
So I decided to redownload it again, & I did
But now its taking forever to sync my iPod. Oh gosh I know Im not explaining this properly
Sorry xS but can someone help?
& mine's an iPod Classic.
