When do you charge your iPod? When the battery is half empty, almost empty, etc? I just bought an iTouch and I don't want to kill the battery.

you need to convert the movies into mp4 or mov first then you can just drag and drop into your touch..

I converted it into mp4 but how do I "drag and drop" into the itouch?

Try taking the songs off and re-adding them. That worked for me :]

I've tried that, but it still didn't work :[

plug in your touch, start up itunes, go to your touch's movies folder, drag your video and drop it there..

I usually charge my iTouch when the battery is at 10%. I heard the thing where if you charge your ipod too much when the battery isn't that low that it shortens the battery life. My alarm clock has an ipod dock so I just stick it in to charge before I go to bed, because my ipod is with me 24/7. xD

Did you try resetting your iPod Nano Booger? You did this by pressing & holding down the middle button and menu button.

Yeah, I've done both. It's been like that for a few months now.

After I converted my movies into mp4 and got them into iTunes, I tried dragging into my iPod touch but it keeps on saying

"____" was not copied to the Ipod because it cannot be played on this iPod.

Well, recently my iPod touch was dropped and thus the screen cracked. The music still plays, the wi-fi still works-- everything works except I can't sync my iPod. Does anyone know a way I'd be able to get it to sync again without having to buy a new one/pay for it to get fixed? It doesn't appear that anything got broken on that part of the iPod, but I may be wrong.

no I meant I used 3gp converter to convert my videos to mp4.. here's a tutorial.. if you convert using 3gp converter it'll automatically put it in the movies library on iTunes and then you can just transfer from there.. hope that cleared it up more..

i'm having problems with my iPod nano (4th gen). this just came from singapore coz they had to replace the nano i bought some weeks ago. it was defective. so my bro-in-law was the one who got the replacement from apple center (in Greenbelt, makati) and he tried it there himself to make sure it wasn't defective, etc.
when i got the Nano, i immediately plugged it into my computer and there wasn't any problem at all; not until i need to recharge it again. so i plugged it into my sister's laptop (OS is windows vista) and there was a message box that says something like the files in my iPod were corrupted, etc. i then noticed that it hanged (got stuck). i tried turning it off or holding the menu & center button at the same time but nothing happened. after awhile, i noticed that it's turned itself off probably because the battery died down. i then plugged it into my own computer (OS is windows xp) and it recharged like before.
to sum it up, the iPod will only recharge normally in my computer and not on the others. then after what happened (when i plugged it into a windows vista computer) with my sister's laptop, the iPod would always hang most often when the battery left is about 20%-10%.
a friend suggested that maybe it only recognizes window's xp but i doubt 'coz i have tried plugging it into my own laptop (also a windows vista but i dont have iTunes installed there, only in my other computer -the one where my iPod would "act" normally when plugged) and it got stuck up too.
does having different OS affects gadgets like mp3 players? i have tried asking around in a local Apple dealer and they told me that maybe my nano's software is just way "too latest" (whatever that means) that's why it's acting like that. so if that's the case, do i need to upgrade my computer as well?
gaaah! sorry for a very 'kilometric' entry but it's just so frustrating. i'm suppposed to be enjoying my mp3 player but everytime i use it, all i think about was "please don't get stuck again..." as if im reciting some tribal mantra.

I'm also having problems with my ipod nano (the 3rd generation). i recharged it one day and it was fully charged. yesterday, it showed only half was used. so i was playing around with the stopwatch because i was recording my cousin's time on something (yeah i forgot). by the time he was done with whatever he was doing, the screen just went blank. it wasnt on hold. i tried to press play but nothing. then i tried plugging it in my comp but nothing. its just a blank screen.
why is it like this even though the battery isn't dead?

EDIT://
lol i just solved it after i posted this. all you have to do is hold on the center button and menu button for at least 2 seconds. silly me. kuku ^__^

i'm back to using my 2nd gen Nano. my 4th gen is still working but sometimes it's such an inconvenience that it'll turn off by itself or i'd be viewing some videos, then the screen would just "hang"/freeze. 2nd gen is not so complicated compared to the newer models. the downside is i don't get to watch vids anymore.

I was wondering if there was any way to sync the songs from your computer to your iPOD without using iTunes or is that the only way?
