i just bought a new one last week, and when i use it for about 30 mn. it gets reallllly hot near the left top are of the keyboard panel....
is is supposed to be like that?
anyone else's like that?

yes it is like that and there's no way around it.
why?
it's a very thin laptop and it has an ATi x1600 in it.. the most powerful ATi card you can put in a 15.4 laptop
many 15.4" laptops are much thicker in order to help disperse the heat, they also have vents all over. You don't see many on the Macbook Pro.. and combined with its thinness, you're bound to feel how hot it gets. That's the trade off when you opt for something very thin and light. It is the same story with other laptops that are both thin and contain a video card (i.e Asus V6 series).
