Create Own Wallpaper & Background

hihi...can someone help me. I would like to create nice wallpaper or background for my photos, do u have any recommendation which I can download free program ?

Hmm you really should use photoshop but its not free. unless u um *cough* nevermind, u can download gimp thought its free.

The GIMP is a nice program that you can download for free.
I don't know if it's a faulty trial version or something, but I DLed it a long time ago (over 6 months) and it still works perfectly...
But I personally like Photoshop better. It does more.

gimp should be sufficient for you. it has the same features with photoshop, and you dont have to pay that much just to make yourself some pretty phone wallpapers right?

actually photoshop is more of an "editing photo" program. What i use is 3D Studio Max. 3DS Max may be a complicated program but once you get the basics of it you can make awsome looking 3d pictures like this for an example

I will try out GIMP first
Btw is GIMP and Picasa having similar features ? Any ideas which is better ?
