Does anyone know what this brush is called? And perhaps where I could download it?

Looks like a bunch of different brushes.
Which one are you referring to?
In any case, give http://share.studio.adobe.com/ a visit.
I believe there's a free required registration before downloading, but you only have to do that once.
And they've got everything from brushes to actions to custom shapes and all that jazz.
For the butterflies in the image you posted, a search for 'butterflies' in their search engine should yield pretty good results.

does anybody what page is the filter on?
Umm...wha?
Does anybody what page is the universal translator on?

Ummm... what kind of effect?
There's a bunch of stuff going on there...
Do you want someone to do a tutorial on how to create the whole thing?
I'd be happy to do it, but if you had a specific effect on that image in mind, it would save me a lot of time... : )

if it is possible, would you mind doing a tutorial on how the artist got her effect on that banner?
Thanks so much^^

Well, when you open it up in imageready, it looks like a quicktime player. Like this:

^ I think...and just think...because I've never figured it out, but I think it has something to do w/ codecs or you not having quicktime installed. Do you have quicktime?
exactly where can you update or dl these codecs for quicktime because i have the same prob.
'High Key Effect' video tutorial by jason.
Click to view in your browser (must have Quicktime plugin) or Right Click to download
This is a Quicktime .mov file, so you'll need the Quicktime player to view it.
It's available for free at www.quicktime.com, but I suspect that most of you already have it.
thank you for the vid tutorial because this really helped me. i'm really photoshop illiterate so the vid is really helful.

Turning Daytime photos into night time ones. Some people do some amazing transformations.
Here's one I did a little while ago. My first.
Tried to keep the feeling 'real' as opposed to 'dreamy' or 'illustrative' like some others are doing. Although, I do like those styles a lot.

Okay, in my photoshop, (I use 7.0), when I pick the line tool, (Right next to the pen tool), it always comes out as an arrow, not a line. How can I make it a line?
Is your arrow... the normal pointer arrow or cross hair? Because when I select my pen tool, I get a little crosshair cursor, then I click and then drag to make the line. I tried it just then in both CS2 and PS6 =p

I thought he/she might have meant the default Custom Shape icon (arrow) that shows up when you first choose one of the Vector tools. I don't remember what it looked like in PS7, but I sort of remember having to choose the Line tool icon (in the tool options) after having clicked on the Tool itself. I might be totally making this up.
Sometimes I do that. Make things up in my head.
But sometimes it turns out to be true.

Ok this is my first time making those kind of things. I didn't know what to name some stuff but here it is. Again, thanks muddie murda for those tuts. It only works on jewelry right? Do you have one that makes clothes or plushies look better?
What font is that? It's really cute.

How do I make the border like that? Also, is the back a filter, like the top mountain part?
Does the picture work? Well it's like a chalked border.
Thanks!

I had an inkling to try to turn a picture into a comic book styled 'graphic'.
I think I came pretty close. And it wasn't all that hard, actually. Just a bit time consuming.

Opinions, comments, criticisms, suggestions always welcome.
I'll probably get all defensive if you tell me you don't like it, 'cause I'm a big wuss, but let me have it anyway.

1. Unzip the file you downloaded (if it's a zip). You should end up with *.atn file.
2. This part is optional. but it helps to keep things organized. Open up your Photoshop folder and navigate to the 'Presets' folder. Look for the 'Photoshop Actions' folder. Copy and Paste the *.atn file into that folder.
3. Open Photoshop.
4. Turn on the Actions Palette (Window>Actions).
5. Click on the little arrow button on the top right corner of that palette to reveal the menu.
6. Choose Load Actions.
7. Find the action you downloaded, and click Okay.
I'm assuming you know how to 'run' the action?
If not, learning about actions and what they are should really be your first priority.
i have two other questions. is it possible to create a action for resizing? it doesn't seem to work for me when i try recording the process of resizing a image
and does anyone know how to type on a path? i know you can with adobe illustrator but i can't seem to find it in photoshop 7.0.
