How do you make an GIF that has a word at the end?

I have CS2 and Image Ready.

All Adobe products have built in help files and manuals.
Your example is the most basic animated gif you can make.
It's two frames with a timed delay in between.

Heyy. my first time asking a question here. i'm so lost when it comes to photoshop. hehe

well, what i wanna ask is, how do i get that effect on the 'swirl' thingy under Yunho's face?

i mean, there's this glow-ish effect on it. like it looks bright.
take a look at icons down there too. most of the icons have that effect too

I think that last batch of icons was made by starlette*. looks like her work.

You can download light textures for icons; they can achieve that sort of effect. Or you could try filtering, which is what starlette does, i'm pretty sure. But light textures are the easy way to go =) I like the ones at colorfilter.net

I dont want to use that exact gif though.

If you want to add text onto that gif, then open it up in imageready and make sure your animation window is open. Make a new raster layer and type the text that you want. Then create a new slide at the very end of the actual gif's slides and make sure the text is visible. Play around with the times, save for web and you're done. Quite brief, i know, sorry.

cookiemonster, when you're using pixel fonts, make sure to turn your anti-alias off:
switch the setting to "none" and i think that should do the trick

i know this sound soo stupid, but i really want to know where exactly you guys got the Photoshop software. did u buy it? I search for it everywhere (well, the free ones of course, because i want to learn using it) but cannot find it. i even downloaded Adobe InDesign CS2, but don't know how to use it. help me.

I have no idea how to do that kinda stuff, though. if you're looking to do basic web-based design stuff, I also don't believe that indesign is the ideal product.. you'd want photoshop, maybe illustrator even.. I've never used imageready but I hear people use that as well.

well hey I'll come clean.. I downloaded mine from a friend. he cracked it for me. I have no idea how to do that kinda stuff, though. if you're looking to do basic web-based design stuff, I also don't believe that indesign is the ideal product.. you'd want photoshop, maybe illustrator even.. I understand you have good intensions, but please try to refrain from talking about pirated software in this thread.
Would suck to get it shut down because of silly broken rules.

Adobe Photoshop is a commercial piece of software.
We will not help you get an illegal copy, or help you crack/unlock it if you happen to get a copy of a pirated version. My philosophy has always been 'If you're not smart enough to figure out how to crack it, you don't deserve to have it cracked.' Yes, it's very expensive. And it's not for every one. But to be blunt, if you're not willing to plunk down the $599 (or whatever it costs now) for the full version, then you don't 'need' it.
I understand that you 'want' it. But we can't always get what we want.

It could seriously be any color.
She could have taken a black line pattern
and just lowered opacity.

Experiment a little, I'm pretty sure you'll come up with something similar.
The quality looks kind of bad... it might just help 'add' the effect.

i mean from a small pic and stretched to be a big picture without being pixelated, like my friend has done. She make some 3 meters x 1meter banner from a pic that less than 1000pxs. But the quality of that banner picture is very good.
