^ hmm.. there are differences between the two, definitely. but most people don't even need to use the newer features in CS2 anyway, so yeah i suppose if you don't think you'll have to be doing vanishing point or removing lens distortion (well, there's more than just that but that's what i use CS2 for) then there isn't much point upgrading.

i want to see what cs3 is like, though. anyone got cs3 beta yet?

she did the zigzag border using the editing program on the her cyworld. as you upload it you can also edit your pictures. click edit with picture tool. uhm theres a post in the cyworld tutoral thingy, you can go there and check (-.-); i suck at describing this out. aiii

CS3 is gonna be way pricier than CS2, considering the features. i'm dying to get it, but i think i can survive with CS2, which i finally got after begging my parents and brother for ages haha. no way would i have found the money to get it

I'm not sure if this is what you mean, but underneath the OPACITY slider, there should be another that says FILL. if you've added a stroke to your text (through blending options), then the text will be transparent, while the outline remains. or you can do it the way i used to; ctrl + click on the text layer thumbnail to select the text only make a new layer then go to edit > stroke, whatever settings you want... then delete the original text. haha i made it sound so complicated. hope that's what you wanted.

You know in photoshop there are lines in the font drop down menu seperating the korean fonts from the english fonts?

but how do get the soft texture like in this artwork?
there faces look so softtttttt, but precised, and not blurry.
is it just the texture they put over the faces?

^ Pachia, I think they used gaussian blur or some type of filtering ^^ Not sure... but that's how I get my soft-ness in graphics XD
