Okay so, when I practice PSing..I attempt to imitate. x_x;
I was wondering, how does she make the photograph look 'old'? I tried putting a layer of brown and setting it to hue but nothing happens. >_>; I tried covering the picture with a dark blue layer and setting it to Exclusion, but I just wanted the photograph to be that dark-ish brown color.
And for the 'scanlines' on top of it, is there a site or something with a simular set? And can anyone tell me what the font used for "Trees of Heaven"? (Not sure if this is the right place to ask that)
And for the red dot... do you use the light tutorial concept?
Thanks!
-Christina

i believe she used textures to make it look 'old'. and she probably desaturate the picture, make a new layer, use the color brown and change the blending mose to color and change opacity. thats what i think.
the font she used is hannibal lecture

you know when you're making graphics it help to have a lotta layers so you can work on things individually etc.
lets say you have to close photoshop and you save it. then you open the file again, and all the layers have merged into one!
so how do i stop the layers from merging into one?

Ohhh.. I know how she did it. LOL, but I'll leave it up to her to explain it. heehee...
I will tell you though... to get the red color, you can follow linh's tutorial (She used blue and black and set it to "screen"), works the same with red.

Did you added it in properly? If you were copying the files into the Fonts folder while Photoshop was opened, it won't be there. You have to restart Photoshop and then it should appear on the list.

My pixel fonts don't work. They are either too small to read or shattered. I guess my settings aren't right.
Can someone please help me? Thanks.

usually pixel fonts work best when they're at 8 px and there's no (great i've forgotten what it's called) - okay, set it to none, rather than smooth or strong or anything. and maybe check to see if you have "small caps" ticked off in your text toolbar.
