im trying to do the "picture within a picture" and was wondering where can i find the polygonal lasso tool?

^ it placed under the marquee tool. clicked it, and it will apper 3 options, then you chose poligonal lasso tool.

i don't get why people who make banners want large hq pictures
how do you make them smaller so that they fit on the banner?

charmy101 - For the smooth faces, you go FILTER>>BLUR>>SMART BLUR and mess around with the settings to your liking.

jwhluv508 - For me, large images are easy/versatile for me to work with.
I usually go to EDIT>>TRANSFORM to resize the images to my liking. :]

People ask for high quality pictures so they can work better with them.
To make then smaller, you just go to image > image size and change the settings.

minwoo012: I'm almost positive that it's been done on Illustrator. I know that the many black lines are done on Illustrator because I've done it before.

jwhluv508: Are you talking about a plain solid border?

Solid Border

Step One: Select the whole graphic (ctrl+a).


Step Two: Go up to edit and down to STROKE.


Step Three: A window will pop up showing something like this. You can have it as 1px or more. The higher it is the thicker the border will be.


Step Four: Your end product should look like this.

that is basically simple coloring. You fill the icon with a color and change the blending to watever you want~
plus you can copy the image first into 100x100 or any other size, then press ctrl+t and press shift and plus the corners...
