How do you make something like this?

Hi, here's what I think the picture is.
I assume you know how to blend the two people? If not, I think there's a blending tutorial on the first page.
Well it looks like it has a yellow tint. That's easy! We just create a new layer, fill it with a dark, navy blue color, set the layer to 'Exclusion', and toggle the opacity.
Then it looks like spots. Like chicken pox. Get a brush, find a texture, or even make circles yourself on a new layer. Set your new layer to 'Screen', 'Overlay', 'Soft Light', etc. and toggle the opacity.
If you don't understand or if you were looking for something else, PM me and I'll see if I can help.
Have a nice day~!

I know you can use the eraser too, but that is time consuming and I need a faster way.
Example:

I want to delete the things behind him but keep the stuff infront like the watermelon and the cooler.
And another question.
Say I'm making a poster 22in by 28in. and I want the resolution to be atleast 300pixels/inch. And the photos I have to make the poster are about 54in by 36in and the resolution is 72pixels/inch.
Oh by the way I'm using PS7. Some help would be greatly appreciated since I need to do this for about 40 posters. :/

I would say, the magic in "studio quality" is a photo taken well. You can't really expect to get a low quality picture and make it all big and great quality. But maybe I don't understand? Can you give an example?

Ah...well, I wouldn't consider that studio quality...but I'll see if I can put something together.

can anyone tell me how to make text slanted? and how do you mirror an image w/o flipping the entire document?
thx!

First question!
Slanted text. Simple answer: select your text layer, use the Free Transform option (I hope you know what that is, as I have no Photoshop and this is a public computer. SORRY!) which, if I recall correctly, is CTRL+T. Lalala play around with your text, transform it, whatever you please. While typing the text (as in, you're editing it) I hold down the CTRL key and it gives you what looks like a shortcut for Free Transform. Is this clear? No? Feel free to PM me... NEXT QUESTION!
Mirror an image. Okay, this is coming from memory... Bear with me please! (: Go wayy up top to where it has File, Edit, all that good stuff. Under Image, there should be an option that is Rotate Canvas? Then select one of the options. (i.e. Flip Horizontal for a mirror image.)
SO! Image >> Rotate Canvas >> Flip Horizontal.
Please tell me if you have difficulty, so that I can improve in explanations... Not good at that. XD Thanks~
i dun really noe how to get its done real nice
Would you mind saying the username of the subject 'yours' in your reply? Kkthx.

This does only the layer, while your answer does the whole canvas.

May I know how she creates the shiny effect in the middle? I know most people does filtering. But hers look like it's some sort of floral design which she made it glow. Anyone mind sharing the trick? Thanks!
