Well my question is, whenever i insert my font it looks all LOW QUALITY .. i don't know whats wrong i changed it to smooth, but still you can see the grundgy edges

The "SE7EN LOVE" text, i don't know if its just my computer screen or something .. =\.

You can add an extra LIGHT layer on the bottom to add some shade to it.
it'll help bring out the letters.

if not,
- switch the layer to MULTIPLY or LINEAR BURN. Play with the colors a bit until you find something you like.

- me and my stupid self, I just figured this out yesterday. So feel special. AHAHHA. choose a shade of gray and put it on COLOR BURN, the darker the gray, the darker the color will show

Ah, Kiki, thanks but i tried it and it didn't work, my pixel fonts aren't working as they should be either .. and put them on anti thing on none ... gosh my photoshop is driving me crazy *bangs head on keyboard* They used to be so clear and smooth T_T;;

AHHH!! Pixels!
Pixels are used at A VERY small size.
Put it on none and try sizes: 9 - 11. It should work fine.
I think 9 works for almost all pixels but don't quote me, not too sure.
What font is it?

There's nothing wrong with your monitor (or your fonts for that matter).
When you use a normal font for small text (looks like about a 12pt size you're using for your font), it'll start to look less and less 'crisp' the smaller you go. This is why pixel fonts were created.
Antialiasing will create a soft 'edge' around the letters to smooth out all the jagged edges you'd see if antialiasing was turned off.
Reducing the size of the font makes the edges stand out more. You don't notice them as much when the letters are large, but if you look carefully, you can see the 'soft edges' pretty much on all font sizes and styles (even looking at the letters in this post, you can see the antialiasing around the letters).

1. Find a pixel font that's comfortable being displayed at the size you want.
2. Get used to the idea that most people don't notice the 'problem'.

as angelzstar said, they should be included in Photoshop. But sometimes, the 'shapes' are actually icon brushes

Wow, this thread has helped me A LOT with PS, since I'm a beginner. I have a question though. Can you remove the background of a picture?

Example.

Like in the picture in the link above, can I remove tha background so that it's just Edison and nothing else? How do I that?

Oh and another question that just popper up after seeing the "Picture within a picture" tutorial. How do you creat film strips?

Click the letters?? Or do you mean click the layer on the layer box/palette?

Oh...could u provide a sc of the screen when that happens? Maybe looking at your layer box and your graphic together might help me find a solution for you.
