Line Art Tutorial:

From this to this
Note: Its hideous, i know, i did it in 5 mins.

Credit: *acaraluv @ Deviantart

1. Open your image and make a new layer on top (Ctrl + J)

2. Zoom into the image as much as you need and start to trace around the outline, just as the image about states. Once you're done tracing that particular part press: Ctrl + anywhere on the canvas and then start on your next line. It'll look something like this

3. Once you finish tracing the whole image repeat the step above: Ctrl + anywhere on the canvas

4. Go to your paintbrush tool and select a size 3px Solid Round Brush. Click the pen tool again > Right Click > Stroke Path > Set to Brush. Make sure Simulate pressure is checked! Then click okay.

5. Repeat step four but select a size 2px Solid Round Brush

6. Repeat step four but select a size 1px Solid Round Brush. But make sure Simulate Pressue is unchecked!

And thats pretty much it.

^Heyyy, I made that!
Ahaha, anyways, I think I set a dark blue layer to exclusion
then I put another light tannish color layer to multiply.
And then mess around with the opacity.

I think it should work. Maybe.

If you're looking for blending tutorials, there are several in the index (see my signature). They may or may not work with PS 5.0, but you can try. If you're looking for "and stuff," you'll have to be more specific.

Simplest way I can think of is to open up the "Blending Options" (layers may need to be merged). Go to "Stroke" and choose "Inside" from the drop down menu. Change the color to black, then set the size/spread as you like. What can also work is "Inner Glow" and set the Blending Mode to Normal; again change the color to black, opacity to 100%, size/spread as you like. (I'm telling you this from memory, so it may not be exact.)

I mention the "Inside" option or "Inner Glow" because I'm assuming you mean a border around the entire image. If it's just on a single layer, that doesn't cover the whole canvas, you don't need the "Inside" or "Inner Glow." (Outer Glow does the same job. Stroke is probably best for thin borders.)

^ Save it as a PSD instead of JPG (You'll see it when you Save As... > file type (which has a scroll down menu of many types)).

what is lens blur?
you mean instead of the filtering options?
you could use the blur tool. it looks like a tear drop
if you dont see a teardrop looking thing, then you might see a triangle or finger, just right click that.

but if you're not talking about the filtering options, go to filter>blur and choose one

hope that helped!

i hate when there's a seemingly interesting story but i can't read through it because the writing is SO. BAD.
