Muddie Murda: thanks for trying to help. =)yeah, I tried googling too, but nothing came up either. The thing is though, I checked whether or not it was compatible with Vista or not first, and it said it was, else I wouldn't have installed it, so I don't why it's doing this. I'm using Adobe Photoshop 7.0 btw.
daisivi: oh...that sucks I guess >.< but thanks for checking daisy =) btw, can I just ask what version of PS are you using?

I would say to call the customer service of Adobe Photoshop. They'd probably direct you to Windows people, then windows would probably direct you back to photoshop.
Not to brag or anything, but if it's a problem that I research and still can't solve, those customer service idiots wouldn't be able to do it either.
BUT wouldn't hurt to try.
Have you tried to switch versions of Photoshop (to a lower or higher) and see if it helps better? PM me if you need help.

It'd copy everything over to a new document.
yea but the thing is the size of the layers is not the same size as the new image >__<
like eg the layers are 100x40...but i wanna move it on a 100x100 image

You're making a GIF right? Hmmm...Well, in my tutorial, what I'd do is to find out the exact location/position you want that 100x40 image to be. Then use the canvas size.
It's in my tutorial, starting at step 13...and then on step 15.
http://www.soompi.com/forums/index.php?sho...p;#entry1777772
It's probably confusing..........
So, if it is, then I would say to use the canvas size anyways, and make it 100x100, then move all the layers one-by-one to the exact location you want it.
Sounds hard and a pain...
Edit -- I just realize something else. You can use the canvas too, but instead of moving it all one by one

I do know that you can save the file in 24 bit though. To do this, you need to save it as a PNG.
Go to File > Save for Web and then on the right side for present, drop down to PNG-24
Thanks Murdie for answering my questions. If after this i change the format into jpeg will it still be a 24 bit color?
Are you sure you selected the right brush (sorry for dumb question)?
Hehhehehe.... that's not a dumb question... coz you are right i did use a different brush, sooo sorry

Actually, I've just learned that a JPG is ALREADY 24bit. Huahuahua.
Could a pro please confirm this though?
And Tailo, yeah seems like some links are off by a bit even when they're the correct ones. Oh wells, Soompiers should be smart enough to scroll up and down.

Another question... why is some of the brush that i load looks blurry... just like a blob of paint when it used to be clear??
Thanks in advance!
This is another example of confusing terminology.
When someone requests a 24bit depth image, it's more of a formality than a strict guideline, as a standard JPG file is already at 24bit.
The 8/16bit options you see in the 'New' file dialogue box in Photoshop are not related to what you're looking for.
Just leave that setting at the default 8.

How do I transfer all the layers to the new document without having to move the layers one by one?
Ive tried holding shift down but it doesnt work >______<
help? XD
thanks in advance
I'm wondering how you're 'holding shift down'...
Do a quick test to see if it's working the way it's supposed to be working.
1. Create two new blank documents.
2. Create a new blank layer in one of the documents.
3. Using a brush, just make a simple brush stroke anywhere on the canvas (use a color that's visible, of course).
4. Duplicate that layer (Ctrl+J).
5. Move that layer somewhere else on the canvas (Ctrl+click and drag).
6. Duplicate that layer and move it again.
7. You should now have the following layers: Background, Layer 1, Layer 1 copy, Layer 1 copy 2.
8. Click on 'Layer 1 copy 2' to select it (highlighted).
9. While holding the Shift key, click on 'Layer 1'.
10. All three layers should now be selected.
11. Move the windows around so you can at least see a bit of the canvas of the other blank document.
12. Click on any of the three highlighted layers, and without letting go, drag to the blank document.
13. If you hold the Shift key as you let go of the mouse, the layers will center themselves on the new canvas.
14. If you don't hold the Shift key, the layers will 'drop' where you put them.
Let me know if this works for you.
Not to brag or anything, but if it's a problem that I research and still can't solve, those customer service idiots wouldn't be able to do it either.
BUT wouldn't hurt to try.
Hard to get tech support when you don't have a proof of purchase...

I think it might be because the sizes of the posts change all the time. Either by people editing them to make them longer or shorter, or hosted images become no longer hosted, therefor do not load, and change the composition of the entire page.
Actually, having typed that, it would be a pretty silly reason.

Thanks for the info Jasonyc, so i just need to save my file as jpeg than it would be 24 bit depth image, right?!
Check to see what 'Mode' your document (the ones having the issues) is in by going to 'Image>Mode', and make sure RGB is selected.
Changing this setting to 'CMYK' could have undesirable effects if you're not aware of what's happening.
If that isn't the cause, we'll look further in to it.
Actually i made a mistake... i was using a different set of brush

Reloading Custom Brushes and Shapes is quite easy, actually.
All you need to do is open the Preset Manager (Edit>Preset Manager), select the desired 'Preset Type' from the drop down list (Custom Brushes in your case), then click 'Load'.
After you have all of your brushes loaded, select all of the thumbnails (Ctrl+A), then click 'Save Set'.
Name the set, and save it where you keep your brushes.
The next time you want to load all of your brushes, just repeat the process, find the Set you saved, then load it. All your brushes in one load.
What I do is save groups of brushes and shapes together that are related to each other. For instance, I'll save all of my 'water' brushes in one set and name it Water.
I have sets of 'Water', 'Tech', 'Girls', 'Grunge', 'Vector', etc.
You get the idea.
Okay, back to what I was thinking you should try.
I don't know if you've reset your Photoshop Preferences file lately, or ever. That solves many issues for me (almost as many as just restarting Photoshop).
Resetting the preferences would mean you would need to reenter some settings in the Preferences (if you changed anything from default).
To clear and rebuild your Photoshop Preferences file, while starting Photoshop, hold the Ctrl+Alt+Shift keys down.
See if that helps.

Haha, I guess I'll just get an upgrade then.
I've been using version 7.0 for like 2 years now, but I was wondering if you could give me a recommendation, should I go for CS/CS2/CS3?
Originally, I was going to go for CS2, but I've heard from people that it really slows the computer down when it's running, and it takes up loads of room on the hard drive >.<
