Urgent Question
Hello all...i just wanna ask how to make a picture that have small resolution into a big resolution (for printing purpose) without leaving any blur or pixelate or unfocus? or did anyone of you know the tutorial for it?
maybe it sounds impossible making a small resolution picture into bigger, but, i ever saw my 3 meters of shinhwa banner using a small shinhwa's picture source for it. and it looks real, i mean, there is no blur, pixelate or unfocus.
i ask this for my college project. i have to print this and that minimum into a3 papersize. it is difficult for me if the source is smaller than a3 even a4. but i must print it. so, i guess maybe there some solution in my question. because i really, really, really wondering how to..
please, if you know how to, tell me a.s.a.p
thanks alot!
No one would bother with high resolution images if we could all easily do what you're trying to do.
The truth is, it really depends on the resolution of your starting image, and the desired resolution of your final image.
You can usually get away with some 'up-sampling' (making the native resolution of the image higher) in Photoshop, but to a trained eye, it's most likely going to be obvious.
With that said, there are plugins (well, one I know of, anyway) that increases Photoshop's ability to up-sample by a very large margin.
The program is called 'Blow Up' by a company called Alien Skin (Google it).
The plug in will set you back $200, but they do offer a limited demo version (although I believe it leaves a 'watermark' on the end product).
There are also some fine up-sampling tutorials (as well as general resizing info) for Photoshop all over the internet.

After all, you did drop $600 on Photoshop.
