Before I help you, i just want to say. Did you bother to look back a few pages? This same question has been asked about 4 times in the past month >O<;;
Anyways!

fEATHERING/"Black shadowy circle thing"
Link One!
Link Two!
Link Three!
Scan Lines
Link Four!

Thanks for your help.
Gosh. Stoopid me.
I have seen the feathering tool before, I didn't even know that was how you did it.
bc all I saw was the rectangular feathered one. I was thinking if I wanted the oval shadow, it'd be different.

But thanks. I'll give it a try and explore.
I appreciate it!

EDIT:

I found what I was looking for.
The tutorial I found said it was "SPOTLIGHT"
Both feathering and the spotlighting are very useful. :]

Do you mean simulate pressure?
The difference is in the line made

http://img503.imageshack.us/img503/1787/exampleeq1.jpg

To get the a line like the one on the right
Use the pen tool to make a path, and then go to brushes, and pick a brush (I've used a soft round brush in the example)
And then right click stroke path
On the drop down menu, select Brush (it won't work if it's on Pencil)
And then tick the box labelled simulate pressure, delete the path and you'll get a line like in the example

well yeah, i've been using the soft brush tool with the simulate pressure checked. and it's still like the image on the left.
i dont know why was it happening.. so im only doing a manual simulation for now and its really a lot of work T__T

_edit___

i figure it out just now! i need to check the shape dynamics from the brush palette. kekeke. thanks for the help though! :]
I just come and go.

Uhmm, I'm encountering some problems in ImageReady. I know this question has been asked before.
I already installed QuickTime 7 in my PC but I still can't import video frames in ImageReady. I don't think that my QuickTime is corrupted.

Look:

^ I think it can read the file but I can't seem to figure out why the frames are all in white. Anyone can help me? mellow.gif

The method depends on the photo you'll be starting with.

actually it DOES matter what picture you start out with.
each picture is different that's why.
but what i think you're looking for is coloring tutorials and there's a whole bunch of tutorials in here.
just look on page 1 under the category 'COLOR'.
if you don't wanna do that, here's a few tips...
1. duplicate your image then play with the blending modes
2. go to image > adjustments > color balance and play with the settings
3. add a solid color fill layer and play with the blending modes

As for CS3, i think (don't take my word i'm still using an older version but..) you have to save it as "Save for web" for it to be able to move as an animation. Give that a try instead of just saving it as a gif. or whatever you did.

Thats only for imageready, not CS3

Kathy

T_____T it finally works! OMG
i dunno how can i thank you T__________T thank you so much for telling me, i tried save for web and it worked! OMG T__T *cries*
thank you once again! <3

Those blue lines you refer to are called "Guides." You can go to View > Show Guides/Hide Guides to toggle them on/off. I don't remember exactly what it says, but it should be there. The shortcut, if I recall correctly, is CTRL+; (if not, then it might be CTRL+').

The links should be working fine. I just checked them. If anything, just link from my signature.

So I wanted to make a banner for my siggy, but then it exceeds the 40kb limit.
How do I make it without having to reduce the picture quality?
Thanks!
