From Muddie Murda's Making Video GIFs Tutorial,

I don't get Steps 15 through til the end.

Whenever I would resize the Canvas Size, my GIF wouldn't be in the place I want it to be. (In Muddie Murda's case, they put it on the left, but I put mine on the RIGHT).

So I would select all the layers in my GIF and then use the MOVE TOOL to move them all in the same spot. That would work .. but then when I would paste my banner, only 2 images would show up in my GIF when I would animate it.

I messed up, so I pressed CTRL+Z or Undo, to undo the pasting of the banner. When I would play the animation again, however, it would still be 2 images (i have 40-something images, the 1st one would show up, then it would finally move at the last image).

Grr, what's wrong? T_T

Hi is it possible to request a tut on how to get the same colour as these pictures?

I've tried using overlay but it doesn't give the same bright shappeness as these pictures.

Thanks.

^ A good camera + appropriate lighting + the dark shading around the edge would create that effect

^Also try some of the selective coloring and colorization/colorizing tutorials. Personally, I think I would use a New Adjustment Layer for Curves on the selected areas to make the reds and greens stand out more.

This: You see the horizontal lines? How do you do that?

If the tutorial was ever posted on this thread, it should be listed in the index. Check the first page under the "Color" category for a list of all the icon coloring tutorials here. (Tutorial links are on page 141.)

Holy shizniteness.

I used to give people crap about not looking through the thread for answers before asking their particular question.
But as the thread has gotten so looooong and haaaaard...to look through, f*ck it. If you've made what you feel is an honest effort in searching for an answer you couldn't find, just ask it. Don't even feel bad. This thread is a monster.

Going through the list of tutorials and references is fine to do for fun and edutainment, but when you're trying to find something you KNOW is there, big sucketh.
Tailo: We're gonna have to do something about that. And by 'we', I probably mean 'you'. And by 'something', I probably mean 'make it better'.
I would put something together on my site, but I don't want to be hounded for leading people off this site. And also I'm lazy. I'm very honorable, yes. But I'm even lazier.

Don't get me wrong, people.
If you still ask 'stupid' questions, or ask fantastic questions in a stupid way, we're totally breaking up.

Also, Pushing Daisies is the second best TV show ever.

I agree. Half the time, I don't even know what really is and isn't in the tutorial index anymore. If anyone in this thread has any suggestions about making it better (in part or as a whole), let us know (and by "us," I guess I mean, "me").

I've just been glad that no one has asked about "filtering" recently.

i don't know how photoshop works but i can tell you how i do it with PSP8. i know that both PSP8 and PS have separate layers, layer opacities and single stroke brushes so the methods will be the same. just if you want

Thanks for actually taking the time to look, even if you had to resort to Googling.

I realized a while ago, while making the indexes (indices?), that there are over a dozen icon tutorials in this thread. There are easily 10 that I can see in the index just called "icon tutorial" or "custom icon," and then there are tutorials here that are really icon tutorials but aren't titled as such. I'm in no position to re-title other people's work, so I leave them alone.

I just have a request for people doing icon tutorials in the future: please be more specific about the type of icon tutorial you are doing. If you aren't, then people won't click to view it, and your tutorial will go to waste.

One last note: I think this thread was placed under "tech > troubleshooting & help" for a reason.

About the dark edges around these pictures, how to obtain them?
I've been trying to figure it out on my own for a while now, but to no avail man TT
Do you like, use the elipse-tool to get them?
