When I need a specific type of brush or custom shape for Photoshop, aside from making my own, I generally visit Adobe's Studio Exchange.

It's funny when you have to be reminded that it's your birthday.
'Wha? Who's birthday? Wait, what day is it? Oh yeaaaah ~... Well, look at that.'

I can finally drink legally.
The drinking age is 33 right?

Thanks, Deb.

Times New Roman... YES.. Even Chelly fonts already on the computer. tongue.gif

It does look very much like 'Times' with a high percentage kerning/leading (I always forget which is which). The apostrophe between the N and T, however, doesn't match. I guess it's possible that they used Times for the text, and grabbed the apostrophe from somewhere else...

Hi Guys biggrin.gif Since I'm not that good with what technology has created these days lol, does anyone have a tutroial thing for making a blinkie with Photoshop and Image Ready 9.0? I really would appriciate anything you guys have for getting there haha. Just for your information, I'm a beginner with using Photoshop. I can do some things like blending, saturating, gradients, and I'm currently trying to do new things with other tutroials. I tried finding a tutorial for blinkies and I have found one, but the explanation to it has been confusing me lately. huh.gif Clueless as I am....my sisters aren't much help -.-....and my friends don't really have the latest version. Another negitive thing, is that I'm not that experienced with the computer. :x I think I can only do the internet lol. >.<

OKay, enough of me blabbing away. I just would really appriciate anything from you guys. =] <333. Thank you anyways!! smile.gif >.<

You made me cut myself a piece of cake.
That's right. Feel guilty!

Wow O_O it's a whole new thread! hahha .. umm, in the artworks section, I dont' remember which thread it was, but then someone asked how to make gifs. Then they were directed here, but I can't seem to find a thread about it. I wanted to know how to make gifs with videos. All the tuts I seem to find talk about something to do with QuickTime and I just have no idea what it's all about. Could anyone help? Thank you!

The idea behind creating animated GIFs is that you should create the completed image fully in Photoshop.
With one catch.
Any element of the graphic that you want to animate (blinking dots/appearing and disappearing letters/fade in fade out) should all be placed on its own layer.
Then you open that file in ImageReady (there's a button on the bottom of the Photoshop toolbar for quick transitions between the two programs), and create the 'key frames' of the animation by turning those layers on or off in the layers palette in a new frame.
All of this might sound complicated. It's not.
It can be very very time consuming, however.

This is where someone else steps in, and saves me from having to make a blinkie tutorial.
Muddie?
jeNn?
Anyone?

yay! This thread is back!

I have two questions:

1. How do you make those dotted border (those round dots, not those dash kinds)?
2. How do you make those dissolved borders?

Thanks a lot! laugh.gif

laugh.gif I do'nt work w/ imageready when it comes to blinkies. Therefore, I've forced Alicee to do so...since she works w/ image ready. biggrin.gif ALICEE?

You'll need to be a bit more specific about what you want to learn about Photoshop.
The terms 'quality' and 'professional' are far too subjective (to whoever happens to be looking at the photo), and have many different standards depending on what the image is going to be used for.

Photo retouching can be anything from simple one-two step color/level adjustments to far more involved 100+ step blemish removal and body resculpting.

Perhaps if you post the image you want to 'touch up', I or one of our other members can walk you through a 'What might look better' tutorial.
