its really simmilar to the tut that muddie put up about making .gif's^__^

do you know how to use imageready? its a program that comes with ps..
1)open your images in ps.[make sure they're the same size]
2)put them all the the same files.[so that one file has several layers] ..did that make sense?
3)go to file>edit in imageready[adobe imageready will open w/your file there]
4)make your .gif ^___^;; im not at home.. so i can't make a proper tut... but when i get home i will^^

i always change my extenstion.. so it happens to me once in a while.. xD

you just have to save it again...

you know how a picture file usually opens with windows picture fax viewer right?
from there, just click the save button on the bottom, and save your file again^^;; then it should work XD^^

Hi, evreyone. I'm new at PS and this thread is awesome with all the tutorials. It helps me a lot so far. There is sth I wanna ask.
Can u guys teach me how to make that border? the one that borders the actor and actress in the banner below?
Is it some kind of brush? If so, where can I get it?

This was several pages back and Muddie Murda answered it, but I use a different way.

What I do is you choose a plain brush (circle). I prefer using the pencil tool instead because it's sharper. Set it at 1 or 2px. Then go to the 'Brushes' tab. Click 'Brush tip shape' and down at the 'spacing', make the percentage higher. Like mine is at 730%. Then just outline the person with one stroke and the dots are spaced out for you.

Hey Angie. ^^. I use that effect sometimes. This is what I do you make it.
I just take a black background and using my normal circle brush, I add several dots of blue to it.
Then I go to 'Filter' and use 'Gaussian Blur' to spread it out (also you can use the smudge tool). What I got:



Then I set it on Screen or Lighten on top of a picture.What I get:


Result's kind of crappy because I just slapped it together really quick. Haha.

someone help me..

There is something missing on the right side of my PS..i'm not sure if thats a good or a bad thing. That layer/background thing and that thing that gives you tips at the top. How do i get it back? or is only there for a short time than it dissappears?

PS is more confusing than i thought...and the fact i'm a slow learner..

^ For some reason, all your windows are the tabs next to the question mark, under the "File" menu, & above the brush options. You should be able to drag the tabs/windows back to the space you circled. You can also go "Windows" and select which windows to show.

for the Movie gif tut, when i try and open the .avi file in my image ready, i get a message saying "Could not be open, a plug-in error ocurred"

how do i fix that? or have a way to go around it.

You'd have to put each additional letter on a new layer and just toggle the visible/invisible thing =]

IE: Photoshop

Layer 1: P
Layer 2: Ph

and etc. etc. There's more ways to do it.
