So yeah, fantasiimaker told me I should sing a JJ Lin song like... a month ago, but I put it off 'cause, oddly enough considering I do have his music on my MP3 player, I don't listen to JJ Lin. I did, however, listen to this song off of his album Cao Cao and decided that I could sing it, 'cause JJ Lin sings really fast and the whole not knowing Mandarin thing makes it hard to sing along. I listened to the song like once before I recorded it and I had a really hard time trying to remember the melody, which, I swear, is deceptively simple. My pronunciation kinda went to hell in the process, but yeah.

Can you sing Down? I think its a bonus track on the album. It's the English version of 熟能生巧.

I was looking for an instrumental for "熟能生巧" 'cause I wanted to record that first, but I couldn't find one for it and I don't think one exists for "Down." If the vocal cut for "Down" sounds clean enough or if I find an instrumental for it, then I'll record it.

Your chorus is amazing. The one thing I was afraid of was you not being able to pull off the chorus, but you, my friend, pulled it off more than very well (quite amazing).

However, I damn near stopped the song after the first verse. Try to pronounce your words more clearly. Your second verse was much better than the first, but it wasn't that impressive either.

A guy pulling off an Alicia Key's song is pretty difficult, and one of your flaws of the song is pretty correctable. In my opinion, just a little touch up here or there, and you'd have a terrific song.

Wow nice...the mandarin was pretty good. I'm fluent and your pronounciations are very good. How'd you do that??? Your voice is very soothing and I think JJ Lin's songs are good for your voice.
Try Down (someone else recommended it too) and Now that She's Gone...both english songs so that shouldn't take as long to sing.

^I managed to get a pretty good vocal cut from "Down," but because I'm sick right now, I probably won't be able to record it for a week or so. And as for the Mandarin, I've tried to memorize how the pinyin is supposed to be pronounced in songs and then just go from there. I think knowing Canto helps out in that department.
