recently I've noticed that my computer has been running a little slow. Sometimes there's a delay when switching between programs or it takes a while to open something. And this is usually when I have 1-3 programs open at the same time (not including chat boxes like msn).

There's also this weird thing that's been happening where everything is deselected and I can't click on anything (I can't really figure out how to describe it, I'll try to get a screen cap later) for like a second, but then everything goes back to normal.

And now I just got a blue screen saying there was an error that caused my computer to shut down and it said that it was caused by "NOWMEMDF.sys". Is that bad for the computer? I'm really baffled here because I have constantly been scanning my computer with spybot, ad-aware, and webroot spysweeper and everytime they find nothing.

If it's needed, my laptop runs with 1gig of ram and a 1.86GHz processor.


oh and another thing I've been worried about is that these clicking sounds have been coming from my lappy for a while and I'm freaked out it has something to do with my hard drive.

Any help at all is REALLY appreciated.

i really think that a virus is coming up, because that happened to my laptop before it got a huge virus because i was downloading songs from limewire/kazaa..lol..but do you download like movies and songs from a program?

I d/l using mostly bit torrent and clubbox along with the occaisonal yousendit/megaupload/sendspace/etc.

I've scanned my computer so many times, even with other programs than the one I listed and every single time nothing is found
