Let me just squeeze this in before I return to my statistics homework.

Is it just me or does it take some time to get used to freshman yr of college?
I mean don't get me wrong, I've met so many cool people since the first day, but college has been burning me out like a match since heavens knows when.

For example, 7:40 labs in the morning. I live an hour away from campus. I get out @ 4:30. I come home, and I collapse on the bed. I just woke up right now, and I almost had a panic attack after I found out how much I was lagging behind on my work.

It feels like 24 hours isn't enough for me right now.

And I feel horrible that I haven't watched the last two sets of Rainbow Romance for the past two weeks. tears.gif tears.gif

I'm currently a freshman pharmacy major, and I know that the freshman yr is the most easiest out of the program, yet I feel as if I'm drained out of a million.

Did anybody feel the same way?
Do you remember the first time when you felt alive?
-Tell me your secret, my dear child-

its probably because you commute to school. If i were you, i would really consider the class schedule before taking the class. Waking up at 4:30 is ridiculous!! man.. i feel for you sad.gif I hope you stay strong till next quarter/semester and pic better class times!! lol

Agree, also majoring in Pharmacy. I wouldn't have had this problem if our advisors had let us choose our classes!!!!!! They chose for us and I couldn't switch much of them since the freshmans had the leftover classes. Also, I didn't plan to go to school every freaking day, waste of gas. I have chem lab at 8 am, good thing I only live 20 minutes away. Essays are dumb too, it takes me forever to write one since I'm not good at essays. Other than that, I need to start reading before exams next week. >.<

imagine having your current schedule but add in work from 6:00 pm to 12:00 am. i don't even have breaks in between classes because i have classes back to back. so i just eat snacks in between classes. and then after all classes are over i grab some sushi from the cafe and then eat that in 5 minutes then i commute to work. that's my freshman year haha. i got used to it like the first week. it's weird because i don't feel burned out which is a good thing for me since i get very little sleep. i understand the part about commuting though. i hate not being like the rest of the people at my university. like 90% live on campus so they just wake up and walk down to class but i have to take that time in the morning and after classes to commute. but yea i'm not overwhelmed by college. i thought it was going to be really intense to the point where i couldn't work and go to school at the same time but yea so far so good.

i think i've perfected my whole cranking out a 6 page essay in an hour from high school. i used to always freak out and think omg it's already 12:00 how can i even do this essay in time. well i don't know i guess after all those times doing it through my senior year in high school i've really become used to it and i find it really easy just to bullshit an essay.

well, it takes a lot of getting used to. =)
but then don't you prefer getting up early and getting off early?

from my past experiences with late classes, i deliberately chose 8am classes even though i live an hour and half away from campus so i can get off early.

and, i like getting up before the birdies do, now ^-^

It's been a month, and I'm already used to it.
My biggest problem is managing my time wisely.
But other than that, I'm pretty good.

I agree that the labs are pretty sick, though.
I have one in twenty minutes (8 AM Biology lab)
And I have other classes straight until 4.

But on a day such as Thursday, I only have two classes from 12 ~ 3.

So, it pretty much evens out smile.gif

Yeah, this past summer,I had early classes. I hated it at first, but when I realized how much free time I had, it was really wonderful. biggrin.gif

Anyway, I live on campus. It didn't take me too long to adjust. I think I was ready for the change anyhow.

Actually, I think Freshman year is pretty difficult, because it IS really hard to get used to things. I failed three classes my freshman year and it took me a long time to get my GPA back up and to get used to all the freedom and choices and responsibility that come with college. Things will get better! No worries! Now, I'm a junior, and I work from 6am-2pm and then go to class from 3pm-10pm. And do it all over again, so eventually you'll get used to it and will be able to work it out.

Plus, you've always get us here on Soompi to help you!! biggrin.gif
