OK so i'm totally risking getting flamed by coming onto this board as a newbie and posting a shamless self promoting plug.
But I do have good intentions if you read on!

I'm just posting to make you members aware of the DJ Mag top 100 voting which for my field of expertise (house music production and DJing) is THE most important poll out there for us. It can determine the course of a DJ's career and credibility for years to come.

There has NEVER been an asian-american person who's broken the top 100 (a few japanese from the motherland have broken in) but hopefully we can all change that trend. I'm tired of not seeing Asians being represented favorably in the media and this is a chance to do something about it.

As for credentials, I've released records on Grammy award winning Deep Dish's record label Yoshitoshi, gone on 3 tours of Asia, and Europe, as well as playing along with bigger DJs like Tiesto and Sander Kleinenberg. You can go to beatport.com, search for "kai" and check out some of my releases if you want a sampling of my tracks.

I also add that this is totally a realistic goal because even 500 votes would put me into the top 250 (which is shortlisted in the publication) so every vote actually does go a long way for this poll!
