Anyone here has sharp phones? I have heard many people said good things about it and I'm really tempted to buy one, but I'm just wondering about the ease of use and customisability, especially with mp3 ringtone and usage. I currently have SE K800i, it's great, but I'm getting bored with these "normal" phones... Any comments, guyz..? And what is it with sharp phones that makes it so good?

Well the 903sh camera is very impressive. To me it beats the K800 and N73. The 904sh has true VGA screen which is very impressive also. 904sh has all these different themes you can dl at the voda phone website or something but you can only download the free ones. Most phone these days let you use mp3s as your ringtone. But remeber the 904sh isn't unlocked yet, still locked. I can't believe your already bored with the K800..

my friend has a 903. Its very nice for what it can do. I believe that it doesn't use mp3 ringtones but uses a different media type. My complaint, it's just bulky.

edit japanese and hongkong firmware can't directly use mp3 ringtones.

k800i is hardly normal. I guess the japanese style of the phone is very apealing and attractive, otherwise their phones are pretty standard if you compare it to the K800. The only real extras are the animations and themes you can apply.

Wait for the new colors of Softbank's 904SH which bought Vodafone Japan to come out. I'm definately getting a white 904sh when it's gonna be unlock

Do you think the Softbank phones will be able to be unlocked? I heard rumors flying that the Softbank phones will be next to impossible to unlock... Hmm...

I love 904SH, but the I guess the price when it's unlocked will be astronomical. I saw that 903SH price still hover around 600 bucks in ebay

I wish they could have the DOCOMO phones for GSM!! they are sooo nice!!

but yeah SHARP does have the best cameras outta the fones right now i think~

the softbank phones should hopefully be just the same as the vodas, unlocking then wouldn't be totally impossible. im thinking it'll take a while to get the phones unlocked though...i'm planning to get a white 705!

haha...i have a black 903sh
with euro firmware. so u can use mp3 ring tone
different firmwares have different function
there are euro, japanese, hk, and taiwan firmware
getting it flash to another version shouldnt be that hard
although 903sh came out last july, it still have by far the best camera compared to k800 and n93 's 3.2 mpx. <---read it in a magazine
904sh is nice...but i dont like its design..the crome on te top just isnt me
but the functions are amazing with its vga screen and face recognition?
904sh is goin to take awhile to get it unlock...few months ago theres a rumor that its nvr goin to be unlock =/
now...theres a beta version in china but the phone turns it self off after a few minutes.
if u want 904sh...i suggest u get it now before the price rise like crazy when the fully unlock version comes out.

btw...if u have 903sh i can teach u how to put games in ur sd card and play it...there are codes u have to change

i love my 903sh =] i put whole length movie in it...haha

o ya! all sharp phones includin 903 and 904 do NOT support 2gb minisd...only 1gb minisd or below...but i believe 1gb is suficient for ur media files

^ You could use the 2 gig mini sd but saving pictures would take forever and the pc wouldn't recongize it.

Right now I'm getting tired of waiting for the 904sh to get unlcoked so I'm trying to sell it or trade it for a different phone...

I hope the price of the 903SH is gonna go down when the 904 is going to be unlock. The 903SH is still expensive. I might also get the Softbank 705SH it looks awsome

i have sharp 903sh but i got the newer (lousier) euro firmware, so i can't hack it to install my own app and games...

i don't know, it's a big ass cam, but even at superfine quality max reoslution, you hand must be SUPER steady for the pics to come out nice, if not u get grainy pics...

SE cameras are more user friendly, but since I haven't tried taking pics using ma phone in broad daylight (no matter wat circumstances, cam phones always work better in daylight lol), I can't compare my old w800i, my current 903sh and my fren's k800..

i just got a sharp903sh and i'm seriously scratching my head
it's soo friggin hard to use...(i've had it for an hr)
let's say you need phone knowlegde to be able to use it
