Hey. me and my roommate got our internet connected yesterday (high speed of course). We have a wireless router but we are connected through ethernet cables (wireless may be unstable). But internet is really slow!! My roommate's BitTorrent is dl at 7-99hrs (files are 308 and 452MB) and my clubbox is like stopping and downloading and then stopping again and so on.

You are experiencing poor internet speed because you roommate got the priority because he's downloading a 300mb and there are no more room for you to download your stuff.

Go wired too. Routers seem to prioritize wired over wireless other than that your clubbox might be restricted to be slowed down by either the internet service or the router.

your school is blocking torrent transfers and such. its a pretty normal thing for universities to block those to prevent illegal downloads and such. my school did that too. limewire, torrents, all were incredibly slow.

if ur in dorms u wouldn't need a router since each person would have their own port in the wall

wired is still better than wireless. also bittorrent depends on the ppl uploading to u.

ok first off...
Did your roommate forward the ports on the router? (I'm assuming it's not university since if it was, you guys wouldn't need a router since there are 2 jacks if it was a 2 person dorm)
if not... www.portforward.com
Check your router brand and model and follow from there
Second, you're both on wire right?

We all wear masks. Everyone, everyday... sometimes we wear them so much, we forget who we really are. And sometimes if we're lucky, someone comes along and shows us who we really want to be, who we should be.
Tumblrrr.
