Are any of you guys an Emergency Medical Technician?
Or are you taking classes to be one?
Or are you in-training?

I'm really interested in this.
It's not my dream career, but I think it'll be a great volunteer opportunity.
Besides, who doesn't want to ride around in an ambulance and save people?

If you have any information on this, please tell me.
Someone once told me that I would have to apply at a fire station.
But I was wondering if there was a national "EMS" registration place.

I am one. Emt-B or Emt-d whichever you prefer. Emt depends on where you live. You can find out in your state Department of Health. They'll list places you can take the class about 1000$. it's like 3 months and you can start looking for jobs. It's not all that great it's not all saving people. There's alot of BS like people looking for free rides, death, people you can't save(different than death), and alot of sitting around. There's is not national emt regis place. There is a national registry of Emergency medical technician. Fire department takes one year to get accepted and no you don't have to go thered.

from what my friend told me, it doesnt. but it looks damn good on your resume.
