first thing...I have never been extremely interested in science
I do like Astronomy...but I need to come up with an idea for a highschool science fair project

I'm taking Marine Science right now...so my teacher sort of wants us to do a marine based project (it doesn't have to be though)
I thought that this year I'd be able to sidestep the fair
All honors and advanced students are required to do a project (but don't have to enter fair) except seniors are usually exempt
but it turns out our *lovely* dept head decided to change the rules

but thats not the point
how do you people usually come up with science fair project ideas?
especially if you're not scientifically inclined

Err I hate Science.
I had to pass in my topic already today.
I just went on to sciencebuddies.org to grab an easy project
.. but most of the projects there are pretty.. easy.

How you brainstorm? Just think of a topic and think of questions you want to do about it...

for instance, this year I was talking with a friend about how our school's water fountains have such a nasty taste, and we got to wondering about it, so I wanted to do a topic comparing the bacteria levels in the school's water fountains, faucets, and toliet waters, ahahahaha..... too bad my teacher rejected it because of too much paperwork for her <__<;;

BUT back on topic, I guess you just think of something that you wondered about or thought about. All my topic ideas have hit me when I'm having conversations with other people ^^;

arghh...more people should reply back in this thread...Science Fair is approaching ;__; Well err... sometimes it depends on your environment. Like a couple friends of mine did a project on Neem Oil last year when there were was a dengue epidemic on my island and a year back they did biogas because we were finding new ways to produce energy (who isn't ><) But this year one of their members went to study abroad and I decided to join their science fair group...and that certain member was their topic starter person >< So when in need...ASK THE SOOMPI COMMUNITY! o____o Hope you guys can help ^^;
