i can only give one hahaha since I myself could not understand why the Korean audience could not see what we can see......

1. KOREA is into IDOLS...... everyone wants an idol... for them when you reach 25 you are already old.... I mean she also had her IDOL days during CHAKRA.... but now its harder for her to establish a wider Korean audience because more idols are born each day.......

1. because of XMAN and WGM and IG..... these 2 shows became a hit not only in KOREA but in every part of the world thanks to YOUTUBE...... the 2 shows she appeared in will be available in YT.... it will be uploaded and uploaded by many people and since YT is really universal.... her reach is more wider and more broader thus more people becomes curious and interested.......and once they get to now her... they will be hooked.....because you dont need any effort to like her and her totality as an entertainer.
2. because the GENRE of music she offers is more universal and more for the international market......

2 reason but i got a lot.
her beauty not belong to korea typical as white skin, act like weak girl, too many anti fans because idol like her and chose her as their ideal type. she is honest and show her real character as strong and independent woman in vairty show to many people don't like her. her voice is rough not like sweet voice girl. be so tomboyish, no scandal with famous actor(even she knew alot of famous actor but don't mention them that they're her close friend or best friend). she is from small comp and not too much promotion. don't show too much sexy even her s line body to die for.

we are from diffrent country and we like too listen many kind of music as long as good entertaiment and music make me move arround to dancing. her beauty very unique and her character is angel as kind heart, think other person before her. good girl and very polite to older person. we like person who like to show their real character not fake person. her music can be r&b ballard, spunky music, some of her sad song i am very like.

i love love her latest performance in music bank. she improved her singing and dancing 100% from her last live performance, and i so like it. Some more practice and she will be flawless. But the thing that she surely retain from all her performances is the sizzling HOTNESS and she is really gorgeous in all of them!

this is my first time posting here and just wanna say that i really support Hwangbo and idolize her ^^
i knew her from xman be4 but ever since i watched WGM, hwangbo really has the most down-to-earth quality and her being herself. her tv personality isn't fake, she's not one of those girls who tired to be "cute" and keep her strong personality. there's a lot of things that i can say bout hwangbo, but i'm sure you all know why people idolize her and guys fall for her

why hwangbo's not that popular in korea
1) koreans nowdays are more into IDOLS and their songs or whatever. they're really not into techtonic much. also as somebody said here, koreans pay attention more on cute, giggly girls and i guess like them more. netizens doesn't like her much cuz she's close with guys (ex junjin, hyunjoong...)

why she's popular overseas
1) YOUTUBE is popular overseas so people got to see variety shows like WGM and Xman, which shows different sides of hwangbo that we all like. like even though outside she's like a tomboy (xman), she's really feminine( WGM). she's not afraid to show different sides of her and she does wat she wants. good housewife, taekwondo, racing car license, charities, fun personality, people overseas like that about her
2) her CATCHY songs like "Goodbye" "Get hot" "R2song" that people overseas like. like me personally, i get bored with "cutesy" song nowdays and is looking for something different. the first time i heard "Goodbye" i was like "..i gotta get this". and R2song!!! man that song is ADDICTIVE! don't know why koreans don't like techtonics much..
in fact, i still don't get WHY Lady in the Black isn't as popular back then

one more add, the music bank performance is her BEST arisong performance. how can she sing so well while dancing like that? sure she's out of breath, but that proves she can really sing

lucky me i found a YT link on her latest performance and I must say she's getting better and better at singing live. In her music bank performance you can clearly hear her voice, people watching her must be running more out of breath than her singing and dancing. She looks stunning as always and I love seeing how she enjoys herself on stage. I'm excited to see more of her in her coming events.

OMG thanks saltndpeppa Her vocals was waaay better. I don't know if last performance had faulty sound system (technical problems are always on these shows) or if she was encouraged by the presence of her fans who were able to make it (it sounded like a large group) or more practice on her part or a combo of these, but this performance was a def improvement. It sucks though, that they stopped showing the audience on this show, but at least you can hear them, which made me very happy ^o^ I am anticipating Music Core which should be later today [29th @ 4:20 KST] I wonder if she will have a different outfit...but I think we can see her improving as she gains more confidence... keep on doing your best unnie~

I will translate what she wrote

1-I believe she doesnt have many FEMALE fans, because male she does,she is very sincere and doesnt have to fake by acting pretty so she might not be the type female fans might look for.

2-An example of that is ME, we all have different nationalities so there for different reasons to admire her, What she transmits to me is a sincerity that i have not seen on many (not necessarily famous either).
