does anyone get MTV-K?

i live in NYC and i think it's only on Direct TV and not cable...

i went to their website but there's no streaming video right now...

i saw that they have School Attack-
some shows directly from Korea and a lot of stuff about K-AM artists

Does anyone get this channel?
I'm going to call my cable opperator right now!

I have it! Well, sort of.. My mom got the Korean package (SBS, YTN, MBC, MTVK, and now SBS Plus) earlier this year. I'm living in a dorm so I don't actually have it all the time but I go over there to watch it when I have a chance.

It's pretty awesome. They have a show called Robo Robo Popcorn which is like the old VH1 show Pop-Up Video. Another show followed the band Buzz around. They had a behind the music type thing on K the musician.

The only bad thing is that, like regular MTV, the do the show loop. If you see something early in the week it's basically what's going to play a billion times through-out the week.

But you need to buy the korean package though. It's like 39.99 per month x:

I don't have MTV-K only MTVChi. I would rather get MTV-K though cause I don't listen to chinese music much.

Can you get just MTV-K cause I have SBS Plus but none of the other korean channels.

I have Direct TV. I was wondering about this too =/ I have filipino package... I have MTV Chi, but i never listen to it, except when its japanese/korean music time. they mostly air the japanese songs when its that time of day Is there any way to get korean MTV without having the package? I mean, like getting KBS, SBS, MTVK alone???

^-- to answer your question, no you can't just get MTVK cuz unfortunately I called DirectTv to ask the same questiona dn you HAVE TO get the whole korean package, it sucks.

You know truly I would get the korean package if I was korean cuz they show some cool stuff but I can't understand it anyways.

They gave it for us for free for two weeks as a demo and I was watching like Rainbow Romance and Goong, pretty awesome. I just want MTVK cuz it's in english.

awesome!! there's a mtv - k now??!! but i have cable... TT__TT... that sucks. i don't have any k-channels.. does comcast even offer them?? =__= so my only connection to k-shows and programs is the internet.

yes i have it..but they show the same videos over and over again for one week and then the next week it will be different videos for that whole week

The whole Korean package is $40 a month ontop of the DirecTv bill. I think it's a pretty good deal seeing as you get 5 channels with the Korean package. The only horrible thing is, at least with us, they had to come out and install a new satellite. Poor guy was stuck up on the roof for hours trying to get a signal (we have a ton of trees in our yard).

Some of it is, some of it isn't. The show Robo Robo Popcorn is all in Korean. The show that followed Buzz around and the one show about K had subtitles. When they play videos they have the bands name in English. Which, by the way, makes it so much easier to find out who sings what song.

I don't understand Korean at all but I asked my mother to get the Korean channels. I still don't understand any Korean (I have to deal with the fine language of Chemistry at the moment and that's enough for me) but it's nice to be able to watch certain shows on your own TV. I tune into the news a lot and try to see if I can catch something. I watch Inikigayo almost every week even though it's like two weeks old. It was awesome being able to watch Super Junior Full House on my TV.


I say if you have the extra cash to spend go ahead and get it..

i want that channel but we already have the Chinese channels (TVB Jadeworld, etc.) my mom would kill me for the bill xD I watch it a lot anyways & at least I can understand it xD
