so right now im on my second year of college at a JC trying to become a nurse.
i REALLY want to transfer to a UC or a CSU, but its taking longer than i thought it would
and unlike going to a vocational school, u get hands on experience and go to school
at the same time within 2 years and already have a license. right now..im thinking of just
finish this semister and just go to vocational school to pursue my career.
my question is...1)has anyone ever been to a vocational school? and did u enjoy/regret going? and 2) what are the advantages and disadvantages of going there?

i went to a trade school for culinary arts, but i can help
advantage of vocational: more lab time, classes arent as big, accelerated which means if it takes 2 years for junior college student to get nursing degree, that time is halfed for vocational students. dont need to take that many general education bs such as history, psych, and crap like that. most likely it will be accredited. which means if you decide to go back to school get a bachelors, you can have your credits transfered. job placement is better.
disadvantage: expensive, expensive, expensive. lot of idiots, highly competitive, sometimes job placement isnt as good. like once you start looking for another job, you're on your own
